i've never really rated the riddler because hes a whiny little *****, so if he is included they should put a new twist on him and make him a bit tougher.

that's the whole point, the riddler isnt suppose to be a real physical match to batman because he can just mind f*** the hell outta him.. it's what i like about him and scarecrow so much, they can just tear batman apart mentally without hardly any effort at all, makes for a really badass villain if you ask me..

^ Now that would be awesome. I always quite liked the idea of David Hyde Pierce too.

Why would he do that? Why would Nolan take a character, who's not supposed to be tough, and make him tough? Last I checked Nolan gave us a Joker and a Two-Face who were almost exactly like their comic counterparts. No need to turn around an give us a Riddler who's not the Riddler.

Riddler should definatley not be the main or only villain, so who cares if he's kind of a wimp? He can challenge Batman in his own way, and there can be other villains to give him a physical fight.

While he probably wouldnt be a good fit as Riddler for Nolans universe, I'm posting this because I think he would make an amazing Riddler...

Tennant would simply put in a similar performance as Carrey, except probably less amusing. Every single emotion he tries to portray becomes some over the top surprised expression. The guy is good enough for some British TV series, but he couldn't be a lead in a major Hollywood film. We'd get this goofy over the top riddler, which would no doubt please the under 11's, but not what we want for this series.

In order to compete with what came before the person who would play the riddler would be required to have some acting range.

I respectfully disagree to every single word you just said on that note. Ya see, if you think about and watch Doctor Who he's very talented and quite the brilliant actor; now I understand that yeah, he wasn't too hot in Harry Potter and couple of knock off movies you see lingering around. Thing is, it's not so much the acting because like I've said he's a great actor IMO, most of it is in the back bone and direction the director, writer, ect. that makes builds the character; for example, Heath is an amazing and more over once was one of the greatest actors in Hollywood and perfected the Joker in the most memorable and iconic way I can think possible. But it just wasn't Heath, Chris and John Nolan are the ones that set him up and created this grittier and homicidal concept of the Joker, and just as much providing the same technique and respect in making BatMan or Harvey Dent/Two-Face or Jim Gordon; it goes on and on until you even reach background characters like Reese, Lau, Gambol, or Maroni. Every actor was perfectly casted and Nolan's touch created these amazing characters; and in that perspective with Nolan pullin' the strings Tennant to me has that potential and with the same respect I believe if he's casted for Riddler the results of his performace (not in the same way of course, in his way) could be just as great and iconic as both Heath Ledger's and Nolan's Joker. You just can't have one without the other deal, ya know? :cwink: :word: :brucebat:

The Riddler should be portrayed by either Johhny Depp, Ed Norton, Viggo Mortensen, Hugo Weaving, or Crispin Glover.

As for other characters, I say . . .
Mr. Freeze-Erica Bana
Catwoman-Kate Beckinsale or Rachel Weisz
Oswald Cobblepot-Alfred Molina
Rupert Thorne-Brian Cox

I also disagree. I dont think Tennant is a good actor at all. He may have a certain charm to get by on Dr. Who, but almost every reasoning for him thus far make it sound like his performance will be Dr Who in a question mark suit.

I still stand by my decisions. Tennant would play an . . .interesting character, but I still say that Norton, Depp, Weaving, Mortensen, and Glover could all do a better job with the Riddler. But this is just my opinion. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Lets just pray they don't bring Jim Carrey back! LOL

Adrian Brody would be a great riddler, I think.

I have never liked Adrian Brody. He is an ok actor, but his nose always annoys me, for some reason. LOL

oddly enough, ehrn i first saw this i pictured the clock king:hehe:

I couldn't. I say Glover or Depp, or someone a lot younger than this guy. The Riddler was usually portrayed as a man under the age of 40. This guys looks to be at least 50, maybe older.

The idea of Tennant as Riddler bores me.

Me too. For some reason, I just don't think it would work out too good. We need a Riddler like we have never seen before, like Heath's Joker, or Murphy's Scarecrow. And Tennant just could not bring a Riddler to the screen that is truly different and beyond anything we have seen before.

I think that Depp, Mortensesn, or Glover could do that.

Yes, we know, you've only told us about a thousand times in the past day.
