The Dark Knight Rises The Riddler Casting: Any Idea ?

I've been waiting for the day Nolan and Pearce would reunite, they were such a perfect duo. This seems like the perfect opportunity. Though I could also imagine him as Black Mask, as well.

guy pearce is the obvious top choice, along with edward norton (unlikely) and jude law.

I think we might see DiCaprio in the part. There are a history of Nolan using same actors, and Leo is the lead in Inception. And if he cast JGL as the Joker, both he and Leo will reteam. Still say Depp is my favorite choise, or even Waltz?

I doubt it. I just cant imagine Riddler copying Jigsaw and saying

"Im sick of people who dont appreciate their intelligence". Nah.

Replace Norton with Paul Bettany, and I'll be happy with any of those making it.

I really hope Johnny Depp is the Riddler after seeing all of his films, the guy can play anyone! Secret Window, Ed Wood, Pirates, Gilbert Grape all convinced me that he is an ideal choice! I can't wait for Alice btw!

No. If the next film is going to be Batman-centric, our villain should not be played by someone that will steal the spotlight from Bale - as hard as that sounds. So, no thanks to Depp or DiCaprio.

I like Depp. He's a great actor, but the guy's in like everything. I think it would be difficult for me to separate his other roles with that of the Riddler.

Yeah, I like him a lot, but I'm getting sick of seeing him prance around with a hat and a cane.

I saw a photo of Jude Law from a few weeks back and he looked AWFUL. Hair tacky,dark circles around his eyes and thats how I imagine Riddler to look. Not deliberately unkempt looking like the Joker. But a man who looks as though he hasnt slept in monthss,obsessivly staying awake for some reason.

Jude would make the best Riddler IMO. Hes got a smug and demented look on his face,like Riddler has. People also seem to forget he has been nominated for 2 Academy Awards,which is a huge plus.

Though if they remake Batman Begins and TDK in years,he could take over Michael Caines role as Alfred.

Guy Pearce. I'm a fan of Depp's work, but he seems to be the guy playing anything and everything these days. Pearce, like Depp, is an incredible actor, but he's still considered somewhat of an unknown to the general audience. He kind of puts me in mind of what Bale was before Batman Begins. He's "that guy you saw in some movie" if you know what I mean. I'd also like to see Nolan and Pearce re-unite again.

Another choice I overlooked and was said a few times on other forums I really thought worthy is Steve Zahn. Usually he does several brain sprain comedies, but if you watch him as Duane in Rescue Dawn he's really brilliant.

You should see The Libertine if you haven't already. That was one of his greatest perormances.

If you want a big name, DiCaprio and Law are my picks. I don't care what anyone says, DiCaprio is a fantastic actor and I would love to see him as a villain.

I know what you mean there buddy; I mean, he'd be awesome, but seriously............ we all suspect he would. It's too safe of a choice is my main problem with him; love Depp dearly, but I think it's a no go for him as Riddler. And if anything, I'm not even sure if i want Riddler yet; if he shows, F***IN' AWESOME!!!! If not, that's okay; I just want Catwoman for the next to give Batman more of challange; same for Bruce with Selina.
