didn't susan storm beat like she hulk, absorbing man and some other goons all at the same time without breaking a sweat?

Yep. She's also made short work of Reed, Johnny, and Wolverine.

Wolverine teleported away but his ass was beat.

:ff: :ff: :ff:

I think Sue is supposed to be undetectable by infra-red, too, so I'm choosing to think that he only ultimately saw her because she let him see her.

She started out detectable to the infra red. But now she's mastered bending lightwaves so much that she can even make a mirage effect around her. Triple vision and that sort of thing. She's been slowly working her way through the EM spectrum. Before long she'll be able to shoot a laser. :D

:ff: :ff: :ff:

That seems like a bit much. I like Sue's powers where they are now, personally.

I agree. I just like the fact that she can circumvent people trying to circumvent her invisibility powers. She did learn them first, after all.

You're misquoting Stan as much as Paradox is. The actual quote, from Excelsior! The Amazing Life of Stan Lee, is, "I thought it would be fun to invent someone as powerful as, or perhaps even more powerful than, the Incredible Hulk. But how do you make someone stronger than the strongest human? It finally came to me: Don't make him human - make him a god."

So, according to Stan, Thor and the Hulk are at about the same level. Obviously, writers who followed him didn't stick to that model, though.

Dude corp what do you expect from Dacman!?? He's the same guy who LIED that Hulk beat Destroyer with his hands! When in fact he didn't defeat it! He survived his battle with! only 3 times (to my immediate knowledge) has destroyer been phyiscally defeated twice by Thor and once by the Celestials!

Yeah, I'm not getting back into this. Turn away, herakles. That way lies madness.

There's no real reason to. Some people like arguing endlessly about who could beat whom, so far be it from me to stop them just because it doesn't tickle my fancy.

That, and it probably keeps them all in one place. Instead of someone feeling the urge to argue about Hulk and just snapping in the middle of a talk about Squirrel girl (HULK beat puny Squirrel!), they can just come in here and rant.

I just finally saw it as pointless. It really is up to the writers. One day Silver Surfer turns a planet purple and blows it up for fun, next day he's struggling in an arm bar put on by Black Panther.

Hulk is only as strong as the current Marvel writers want him to be. Anything less than previous showings and Hulk fans say it doesn't count, anything more than previous showings and vice versa with Hulk detractors. Hulks fights have been so across the board (struggling with a giant snake, to beating everyone on Marvel Earth in a few days) he's really anywhere the writers want him to be.

this convo goes off track so much... people will never understand the difference between powerful and strength

Silver Surfer is the strongest and most powerful. Silver Surfer can increase his strength depending on the situation. Any character who can make a star go supernova is the most powerful also.

I'd say Franklin, at his full potential, is more powerful than Nate, to be honest. Nate was obscenely powerful, but Franklin is basically God when he wants to be. He created a fully functional, working universe with new life and everything.

I really hope that kid gets some sort of psionic powers back. He and Valerie have been "cute kids" for too long.

Right up there with the likes of Wonder Man and them, at least. I think he's supposed to be even higher, up in the top echelons of strength with Thor, the Hulk, Hercules, etc., but he's generally not portrayed as quite in their league, from what I've seen. My exposure to him outside of the current MI-13 series is pretty limited, though, so I may just be talking out of my ass.

At the time of his classic fight with Juggernaut he was officially Class 90. Whether they have upgraded him since then I have no idea.
