There were a lot of fine women on Smallville, Sarah Carter (Alicia) being my favorite. The chick who played SPeedy was mighty fine as well.

I can't speak for Smallville since I never bothered with it but Arrow hasn't filmed in Toronto as far as I know.

After watching the latest episode, a realisation just struck me... does anyone know what happened to Isabel Rochev/Summer Glau or have any thoughts on what the show plans to do with her? The character just fell off the face of the Earth and it just feels like forever ago since she last appeared.

The Hollywood Reporter: Isabel is still in Oliver's orbit but she hasn't yet made a significant splash. Is her time coming?

Yeah, her time is definitely coming on the show. I wish we had been able to have her time come a little sooner. We have a lot of characters and we're telling a lot of story, but we have not seen the last of Isabel Rochev. In episode eight, Moira and Isabel had their encounter at Moira's party where we learned that there's a lot more history vis-a-vis Isabel and the Queen family than we previously thought. It's just a matter of time before all those chickens come to roost.

TV Guide: Will we see Iasbel Rochev (Summer Glau) again because there is still the question of why she wanted to acquire Queen Consolidated?

Guggenheim: Summer will be returning to the show. We have not seen the last of Isabel. All of Isabel's motives will be revealed. That said, not everyone on the show has to be planning on blowing up the city. There are some people who are heroes, some people who are bad guys and there are people who have to just be people. That said, in Episode 8, we got a taste that there's a history between Isabel and Moira that we don't fully understand or know about yet. When Isabel returns, we will learn the secrets of that exchange that they had.

My pet theory is that it's Isabel Rochev.

That's my theory as well....

Yeah, I would go with Isabel on that one too.

I can't think of who else so far introduced who would fit the bill either. And that name was in the book of names:

The other outstanding issue is if and how she fits in with some other significant villain.

Speaking of comic books, you play the lead, Oliver Queen’s business partner, Isabel Rochev, in CW’s “Arrow.” How is that going?

I’m actually on my way to the airport right now and I’m flying to Vancouver today, I just finished an episode and now I’m shooting another. There are some pretty big things happening with my character coming up that I’m excited about.

“Firefly,” “Serenity” and “Terminator” were all very physical rolls for you. Will we get to see any action from your character?

Well, I don’t want to say either way. In the beginning when I signed on to do this roll, I thought, “Well, I’m guessing they’ll want me to throw down, because that’s kind of one of my things!l\ I’m gonna get up there and they’re gonna have me do some fights.” But when I got there and I went in to some of these wardrobe fittings, they had me in these beautiful dresses and jewels and high heels, and I thought “Whoa, this is really different for me,” and they kind of got a kick out of it. They were like, “Yeah we put Summer Glau in high heels and made her show a different interpretation of a strong woman.” But they have told me not to get too attached to it because it might change. And I won’t say but there’s gonna be some pretty surprising moments for Isabel in upcoming episodes.

So, that appears to be Isabel that Oliver is fighting in the promo for episode 18. Two things:

1. I'm glad that they're giving Summer Glau at least one action scene. Seeing her kick ass is always fun.
2. I'm wondering if Isabel might be the Arrow-verse's version of Ravager, maybe even Rose herself using and alias?
