That's probably as good as the 'classic' suit could look- kudos.

the problem with putting trunks on the MOS suit as is, is that the "belt line" was placed lower than normal. that's why the trunks look slanted and, in my opinion, awkward. i was fooling around in photoshop tonight and noticed it.

the Superman Returns suit suffered from the same problem. both belt lines are in a weird slant as if pointed towards the crotch. if you look closely, there is a difference in the piping and "belt line" when you compare the actual movie suit to the suit that was drawn in those sticker books and kids books they released for the movie:

pesonally, i like the way they drew it over the actual suit. the piping and "belt line" gives the impression of a visual anchor that divides the upper body from the lower body. you dont get that in the actual suit. plus, with the drawn suit, it's easier to photoshop trunks onto the suit

The "alien" look is fine. It makes sense.

Every manip seems to only be interested in trying to revert the suit back into "classic" territory instead of working within the framework of the world that Snyder built.

I guess my question would be why are they changing it for the sequel and how will they go about changing it. I'm looking forward to his haircut the most though.

I'd die if they went all Byrne style and had Martha make a new suit at some point that he wears WITH the undies.

I thought the one universal truth was that the suit was awesome from Man of Steel. I definitely would love some more color. I think just by adding color you could change the tone of the film from a little drab to more action adventure.

No trunks.. unless he gets a completely new suit maybe without alien origins

im sorry to say this, but that angle with the sunlight hitting his mid region, it make it look like he's very well endowed... trying to make a manip with the trunks, and it's incredibly difficult because of that lighting

I agree just a brighter blue is needed the MOs suit other wise is perfect.
