I never said that. If someone else did, they were speculating since it has never been confirmed publicly. However most of us do believe the suit will be revealed as nanotechnology. How cool would a shirt rip be revealing the \S/ closing over the chest?

I haven't looked in this forum for a while, so this is the first I've heard of a "nanotech" suit. But I gotta say that sounds pretty awesome, considering that they're going for more realism here.

Alien nanotech that makes the suit form around him totally makes sense...I mean, how else do you explain his suit and cape and everything hiding under his Clark clothes without it looking like, well...that he's got a friggin suit and cape under his clothes lol. In the Christopher Reeve movies they could get away with silliness, but yeah these new Superman movies need to make things more believable.

And having the nanotech form the \S/ as he's ripping his shirt open? Holy crap yes....I WANT TO SEE THAT!

It's weird that he has like a magic t-shirt that can transform into the superman costume. I guess they did it this way because the super suit has that dumb high collar underneath and it would be hard to hide under his regular clothes. I really hope the tweaks to the costume does not include that collar.

They changed the suit to change like that because even with the classic suit it didn't make since that he could hide a cape, boots and and the outfit and belt under his regular clothes. The only Superman who doesn't hid it under his regular clothes right now is Superman: Earth One if trouble came and he needed to be Superman he flies back to and out.

a thing bothering me about dressing up as superman...why does he has to go to a phone booth...he could just fly into the air when noone looks, change cloth and flys back and everyone thinks he comes from somewhere else...
he can dressup so fast no one would notice it. not even if he'd do it right behind you.

I know it's CGI but this is about my perfect Superman suit:

I'd have no complaints of a suit like this. See how the texture looks there? THAT'S how you do texture. If they could get that in live action, that'd be perfect. Doesn't look like spandex, yet doesn't look like snakeskin or a bathrobe, either. Above all, it looks like SUPERMAN.

I'm not fond of that at all. To each their own...but there's not much I like about that at all. Perhaps it would be fine for an animated supes, but not for live-action.

I don't like the colors. The MOS neckline and cape attachment are much better. The MOS cape in general is better. That one is too short and small. The MOS S shield is better than that one too. I don't like the cartoony looking S. And of course...I don't like the trunks. That time is done.

About the only thing I like is the texture.

Let me explain my reason. I want to able to wrap the new bat symbol with it, and eat it like a burrito.

When I think of that tech Superman used to change his costume it ranks right up there among the all-time worst ideas DC has ever had when it comes to the Superman suit.

Giving it the appearance of armour was an even worse decision. New 52 Superman is just terrible.

How does he go to the bathroom as Clark with the super suit under his regular clothes?
Does he wear the boots under his socks and shoes?

I love the "classic" costume. The trunks and everything else. It's simple and humble, just like Superman should be.

The MOS costume is cool but the classic one is much better, in my opinion¯\_(&#12484_/¯

The phone-booth is part of Superman lore. Just one of those classic images - along with him looking for other places for a quick change.

We don't know anything about that statue. It probably has nothing to do with what the suit will look like.
