how about this?

Ugh...here we go.

I've yet to see a single manip that improved on the MoS costume. Least of the ones that randomly put red somehwere...no offense to the artist.

Regarding Henry's new do, could it because because it is wet (it's snowing/raining or sleat in that picture) and he ran his hand through it to slick it back just prior to that picture. This is likely part of a much bigger scene, just like the original bank vault picture was. Most assumed it was from a photo shoot, but it was a single frame (or was shot at that time) from his fight with Faora. Maybe Superman has been waiting on the rooftop for a while waiting for a rendezvous with Batman, and just after coiffing his dripping wet locks he looks up to see TDK standing right in front of him. That would explain his stern look and the clenched jaw.

I'm 99% sure this is a promo shot alone and not directly pulled from a scene they were shooting like the one you mentioned from MoS.

Red embellishments aside, I appreciate the fact someone lightened the picture so that we can better fret and obsess over the revised details:cwink:

Makes me wonder why they even bothered tweaking the suit such are the subtleties of the changes.

Because:

A) Michael Wilkinson wanted to.
B) WB wants to sell toys baby!

So Henry could take a leak without needing the assistance of two or three dudes to help him peel off the entire suit? :oldrazz: Tweaks can happen for practical purposes, too, not just aesthetics.

Well that's what a lot of people assumed the Bank Vault picture was,(a photo shoot) but it turned out to be part of a bigger shoot integral to the movie, even if they specifically staged that particular pose. You could be right though, we'll just have to see what Kevin Smith (the real one) has to say about it.

It's possible, but the bank vault was on a tangible set. Supes looks photoshopped into the [fake] environment here (save for what he's standing on)

B more than anything. I can attest to that with over $10,000 worth of Iron Man figures!! I hear Tony Stark has a Mark 43 and Mark 44 suit in Avengers 2! Evil marketing B*stards:csad:

Wow! Nice collection!

He did have two in the first Avengers so I wouldn't be shocked. (maybe he'll actually wear them in A:AoU)

They have improved a suit that already bordering on perfection...

Outstanding work.

True but the skyline could be a temporary placeholder until the real CGi is finished. What he is standing on looks like a practical set with some props, but the background would likely be green screen. I think we'll know for sure by or at Comicon.

Depends!

I'm fine with every aspect of the "new" suit. But when you're concerned they might try and adapt the New 52 atrocity, anything else would be pleasing. Just glad the "anything" in this case was, in fact, subtle changes to something nearly perfect.

Thanks. It's a sickness lol. And Yeah, speaking of those Avenger's IM suits, I've been waiting for two years for a Sideshow Mark VII 1:1 bust to arrive. They keep pushing the production date off.

Yikes, that stupid Nehru collar on the New 52 is the absolute worst part of it, followed closely by the cuff part venturing onto the back of his hands.

I'll never undertand how ANYONE on that board of design could have agreed to it. It costly elimates any majestic quality that Superman has had since his creation. Here's hoping it will be like the "blue" suit that was quickly
scrapped back in the 90s.

The piping changes likely make for a more comfortable costume is some fashion... I can't see what others are seeing in the symbol, not saying it's not different; just that I can't distinguish it. And the square belt buckle... wth?

Michael Wilkinson clearly loves "Lois and Clark" :o:

It makes one appreciate how amazing the MOS and BvS suits are, because in comparison (not fair I realize) Dean Cain's looks like a bad cosplay effort! I'll reserve final judgement on the square buckle of the BvS suit until more and better pictures of it surface.

Looks for the most part the same, which is fine.

It was supposed to look like that. In the show his mother made the suit.

She did in the early comics as well, but it didn't look like Cosplay. As it was a TV show I'll give them a little latitude due to budget constraints, but the \S/ I've always thought was and is inept in it's design and execution.

i know in the comics it doesn't look like cosplay but the suit in the show is supposed to look like someone's mother made it for them.
