It makes sense that they did that. Namely because there was no actual muscle shading on the MOS suit.

What appeared to be muscle shading on the MOS was just the muscle suit underneath showing through, thanks the the perforation, more or less, on the top suit.

And as one might tell looking at this clip, there aren't using a muscle suit of that nature this time around. This, being confirmed by the studio who produced them last time not working on BvS.

So yeah, they had to add actual muscle shading this time around.

That video is great! Unfortunately I think that's as close as it's going to get to the happy/positive Superman of my dreams! And yeah, the hair almost looks like the S!

I really think those of you that are expecting the color to be a major change and much brighter are going to be sadly disappointed. The suit film drastically different depending on light conditions, and I really don't think the color is that different. The MOS suit looked very bright in certain pics, but in the film became very muted. Honestly though, I prefer the darker colors.

Not sure why so many seem to ignore this FACT on these boards when chiming in about the suit and it's colors based on a set photo.

I think "drastically" is a bit of an exaggeration.In MOS the lighting made the suit appear somewhat lighter and darker given the requirements of the scene.But you could tell it was the same dark,dull costume.

I expect this costume to look no different in the execution.

If the suit is brighter in this movie I'll be absolutely shocked, but as I said. I think people are setting themselves up for a disappointment if they're expecting a night and day color difference.

I think that BvS is going to look different (compared to MOS) mainly because Snyder brought back his usual cinematographer Larry Fong. One look at his body of work (Watchmen, 300 SuckerPunch, Super 8) you could tell with confidence that it will be stylish. That is unless he changed his method of photography.

Except that the Comic Con footage was clean, crisp and stylish. A far cry from the shaky hand-held muted look from Man of Steel. I think it's safe to say we will be getting a more Watchmeny look on this film. Hopefully some speed ramps. Please God let there be speed ramps.

Unfortunately all I saw of that was the phone footage, and it was so dark I couldn't make out a damn thing.

I prefer the silver suit underneath. Shame what happened with Frontline Design and WB.
