I think the body suit could be worn underneath his regular clothes, but the cape and boots form/grow from nano tech.

Or he should simply wear a bodypaint "suit". :o

What if there is no actual suit and Henry's superman simply just has mental problems hense why the military actually arrested him in mos. Zod and co was just in his head

I think the days of wearing a bright blue suit under street cloths are over...especially now where the suit and shield are raised and textured. Not easy to hide under a summer shirt, short sleeves etc...

The nano tech suit is a must...unless he hides the suit in a backpack and changes on the roof like Spider-Man.

Good thing Clark's more of a loose fitting semi-formal kind of guy then, the jacket, collared shirt, and tie cover those things pretty well.

I'm of the mindset that they won't address this issue at all in any of the DCU films.

...long sleeves and long pants while in Africa may seem a bit odd to the rest of the party.:shr:

...but I love the shirt rip too. Hey, it's a movie, they can do anything they want, ( and they may not address it at all ( ^^) as long as they make it reasonably "plausible".

...hey, Batman always had to hide his gear... and you know THAT suit takes about 2 hours and a valet butler to get into.!

"gotta get to (one of my) my Batsuit hiding-place."

He must have a Bat-mobile hidden on every other street!

...but they made it make sense how he hid the bat-plane, and get to trouble fast... we believed it all...mostly. ; )

One thing in supes favor is his superspeed. He could hide his suit across town, heck, he could hide it across the state, and still have time to pick it up and stop for tea before heading off for the emergency.

always loved the scene in Megamind where Metroman moves so fast, everything else is frozen...sorta like X-men and Quicksilver scene.

...maybe...

Odd that in MOS, Zods cape caught fire and he ripped it off. (dramatically) but Supermans cape did not catch fire but went through the same inferno.
Thought it's not a official response. Zod's cape is from different material (almost as fur) while Supes is different. Also Faora is different, I think it shattered through the explosion. But Zod's definitely has other material that maybe was combustible.

JorEls suit was pierced by Zods blade so on Krypton the material is not impervious. Also the needle went through the suit when they took Sups blood. ( they could have taken from his neck )
Kryptonian materials, kryptonian needle and weapons. I'm one of the guys that think the suit self-repares.

( but then why could he all of a sudden fly when wearing the suit but not before ?...so may questions...)
Maybe in MOS they view the suit as a solar amplifier? Would be great if Zach would answer these Qs. I am sure they contemplated all.
False. The suit is not a solar amplifier. He was able to jump high distances, and he was motivated by Jor-el that keep pushing his limits, he thought if I can defy gravity, can I mantain and fly. Notice why Supes fell in the first time, and then he perfectioned the ability by concentrating.

I think this may be the best bet. In order to best explain why the suit is different/he can wear it under his clothes, the best way would be that it has some nanotech-esque composition and can be altered.
:highfive:

I hope one of those little robot Keelor guys survived to help Supes out. May be his taylor!

Sorta like Jarvis!

...Hey Keelor. whip me up some new threads. Update the design a bit. ; )

(keelor 2) beepy bleep...yes sir, I thing square buckles are in this season...
Keelor and Kelex were with Lara when Krypton exploded. And the ancestor of Kelex/Keelor was crushed by Superman. Don't know if it self-repairs too or humans/Superman can repair it?
Hasn't Snyder already answered those questions?
Superman's suit is different than the ones on Krypton because it was in the prime time for Krypton and the colours were brighter back then. The reason everyones suits on Krypton were dark was because that was just the "style" then. Jor El's suit was brighter than Zods armie's because he was a different bloodline/worker.
I've never heard it was because of the style was like that in the past.
I thought it was because Jor-el wanted to emphazise Kal-el as the better kryptonian, the symbol of hope and bright up the colors.

I've been posting my idea for like 10 years now, to see the suit actually expanding and growing onto his chest through Kryptonian technology. A shirt rip scene showing the suit have this capability would be cool and stop people from asking "how does he wear that under his clothes?" It could form out of the necklace he wears under his clothes or something. Programmed by Jor-el because the suit would help him draw up the solar energy maximizing his power.
While I love your idea, the suit does not maximize his powers, Superman physiology is what makes him powerful and the solar absorbtion from his body.

Leave that for Flash :oldrazz: :word:

I think the furry cape was only in concept images. In the film it looked like Faoras to me. Maybe I have to watch again. And his ripped off pretty easily while he spun Supes and through him by his without ripping off... Just fun wondering...

I hope it does too, seems the best solution. Self repair also means grow on suit I think...

...true, but he did a lot of walking prior to that even when he wasn't being watched... ; )

One thing I wish they did was to add a scene where Jor-El "downloads" all the Krytonian knowledge into Supes, sorta the way he downloaded the codex into him. Would have been a fast way to do the Donner Superman education of Kal by Jor-EL (Brando) and "explain" things. Heck, they did that in the Matrix...

Was too contrived the way he "discovered" this ability. :whatever: Why would he even think that he could fly? IF Jor-El had told him that he could defy Earths gravity then...:yay:

I am sure they figured to just get on with it because everyone knows yada yada yada...

No big thing, just lazy writing. There were other moments that could have been better but I still love it.

Flash and Supes could have super-speed convos and play games?:woot:

I think the best way to explain supes having access to kryptonian tech would be to have supes work closely with star labs. They can help rebuild/reverse engineer some of the tech lost in the destruction. It would explain a fortress of solitude, suit changes, etc. It would also give them some insight into metal that can morph...i.e. something similar to what cyborg will be made out of.

Yes! I'd love to see Supes have a big relationship with Star Labs.

But Emil Hamilton is in the Phantom Zone.

But Emil Hamilton is in the Phantom Zone.

All they need is another planet to explode or something to knock the black zero out of the singularity ...again...

It happened before...it can happen again!

I really hope Hamilton comes back. He was awesome and that short scene of him and Supes was great.

What if Batman helps Superman to build a device to open Phantom Zone?

But Emil Hamilton is in the Phantom Zone.

Wait...WHAAAA!? I just realized this. If he is wouldn't he be dead though? The Phantom Zone is adjusted to Kryptonian atmosphere and Dr. Hamilton didn't have a breather.

We don't know what the Phantom Zone is like. The Kryptonians were encased in a casket within a ship.

There are ways to have that.... BRAINIAC, LEXCORP, STARLABS.

Actually Jor-el told him that earth's gravity is weaker and then Kal-el just made the assumption, which was a great way that made Supes smart.
Some things you and maybe I couldn't figure out at first sight, but there were there, let's not call all lazy writting when the lazy and lack of quick-witted are us.

Flash and Supes could have super-speed convos and play games?:woot:
Maybe a race? around the globe. For charity.. Please? :O

Actually in MOS extras, LexCorp and Star Labs discovered many things from weapons and a drop ship that Zod left in the arctic. So there's that.

What if Batman helps Superman to build a device to open Phantom Zone?
And unleash Faora? What for? :argh: :o
I see more likely on Star Labs and/or LexCorp by accident reaching the PZ frequence to open it.

Wait...WHAAAA!? I just realized this. If he is wouldn't he be dead though? The Phantom Zone is adjusted to Kryptonian atmosphere and Dr. Hamilton didn't have a breather.
Actually it is yet to be seen what is in the other side. Kryptonians were covered and frozen. Maybe is another dimension, a space prison (like in comics). We don't know if it has kryptonian atmosphere, that wasn't explained. It has so much potential the inside of Phantom Zone.

Also a pal here said one of kryptonian leaders had red suit? Did he mean MOS or comics? if MOS, could someone remember which one? I can't remember seeing a red suit..

I wish Faora would unleash herself on me.
