The artist fixed the TDK cowl. The ears are straighter, the cowl has a meaner look, the mouth opening is bigger and the cowl is not as wide. It fits on his head quite well, unlike the real thing.

That's what I'm saying, if they can do that for TDKR it would improve the costume a hell of a lot.

Could you post Wolverine's new suit?

Well, it's not really "new" anymore; he's been using it for a few years:

That is how you update a classic costume. Whatever monkey designed the new Superman look should take some damn notes.

See. That design works, because they've incorporated blue into the yellow bodysuit - hence helping to break up the color a bit without needing the trunks.

Simply taking away the trunks just looks terrible. If you're going to get rid of them, you need to tweak the overall design.

Just a question. It applies to Batman, as well as tons of other characters. Why do they have to wear panties over their pants? I've always felt this just looks stupid. On Batman, Superman, Wolverine, anybody. Anyone know why its so prevalent?
To annoy you.

Probably not.

If they DO change it, I hope it looks as similar as possible to Lee Bermejo's BatSuit. Probably the best comic book representation of what a "perfect" live action Batsuit would look like.

Perfect Batman suit IMO. I wish Nolan had gone this route in the first place.

I've still never gotten how dressing in bright yellow has ever jived with wolverine's character?

I mean you go from rough and tumble guy who likes wearing wife beaters and flannel as his day clothes to... that?

It's okay. He's Canadian.

Thank the Canadian government, lol.

Nolan is like an evil genie, who grants your wishes but in perverse and unpleasant ways.

I like the TDK suit well enough, but this legitimately made me laugh aloud for a **** 2 minutes.

Correct; he can afford to dress foolishly because his natural Canadian awesomeness radiates outwards regardless.

His brown costume certainly makes more sense, though its design is more boring. Personally, I'd like to see his current design in the brown/black colours.

In AXM Wolverine is obviously opposed to wearing a costume, but goes along with it as part of Cyclops' "Let's be superheroes" initiative. Too bad that explanation doesn't really apply to most of his costume-wearing career.

Lee Bermejo takes classic design and draws pockets and stitches on them. I don't understand why anyone thinks it is clever or inventive.

I'm not a fan of Bermejo Batman suit either. I do recognize he's a really good artist but I don't fancy that suit one bit.

I do like the cowl though.

I love his work and his concept. It's more than just stitches and pockets, he gives the suit another dimension. He takes the classic design and makes it more conceivable. I love the spandex look, but I have always imagined what Batman would look like in a motorcycle/ leather outfit. It's more relatable than a rubber outfit in my opinion. I also the the cowl/symbol connection. I'll upload a Neal Adams/ Bermejo hybrid I drew up... just give me a few hours as I don't feel like moving at the moment.

Because his personality was decided after the costume design was created.

Holy crap I didn't even notice that they got rid of the trunks when I read Astonishing X-men. I don't know, maybe that's a testament to good costume design? Or am I just blind?

Here's my creation. Bruce decides he has to look more menacing, he begins to paint the bottom of his face black as well almost tracing back to the fear-gas-Batman in Begins. The suit is redesigned to look much more menacing, similar to the Begins suit. He kind of inverts the classic Dark Knight costume by going with a slightly lighter logo on the chest.

Now tell me that doesn't scare the crap out of you. :awesome:

I always did find that fear-gas-Batman terrifying and thought the all black was pretty awesome, haha. Obviously this is just for jokes ;P. And the red around there was because I started working on a poster...

I would like something more organic, like the suit Spawn wears.

It looks good, it can be explained as body armor, and it can be molded to actually look intimadating unlike the ugly suit in TDK.

I sometimes wish Bruce would have created the Fear Gas Batsuit to really **** with criminals...
