You'd be surprised, actually; there's a variety bat called the flying fox, named as such first for it's size, and second for it's orange/yellow fur.

Still, it's certainly not as yellow as the Batsymbol on the Batsuit in question.

The more I look at Arkham's Robin, the more I like it--and the more depressed I am that we'll never see Robin in Nolan's films.I think Nolan could knock it out of the park if he wanted to.

Though, if he's not interested it's probably better he not try. We all know what happened with am Raimi and Venom, after all. Hopefully the next guy will finally give Robin the on-screen interpretation he deserves.

I disagree. I think he looks great without trunks. The associations they're meant to imply (circus strongmen) doesn't really fit with Batman's character (he's more well known for his intelligence).
And not his strength and acrobatic skills?

How would you guys feel about something similar to Arkham City's Robin (Tim Drake) suit?

I dig it, but my only real complaint is the shortness of the cape; it just looks oddly small on him. LOL I do like the shorter hair look, and if we get the red, black, and yellow color scheme I think this will look lovely.

In a perfect world, this would be Joel Schumacher's Robin if he was straight. :awesome:

Hopefully he'll have his hood up most of the time. I'd love the design if that were the case.

I wonder what age they're going for?

You don't think a guy who looks like that could still be homosexual? :oldrazz:

PS - Some people would be offended by you calling the world 'perfect' if only gays were straight. :funny:

I don't like that Robin design. Maybe I'd like it better with colors, but he looks more like some bratty punk than Robin. The buzz cut just looks odd.

Wasn't being offensive; just pointing out that Joel went places he shouldn't have. And there's enough people who get that point across. :oldrazz:

I laughed my ass off the first time I saw that episode of TAS. That has to be the least subtle jab lol

I have a feeling this thread's going to get very interesting very soon.

Unless it's a Photo of the new Batsuit (if there is one) it will probably just be more debating and bickering.

Yeah, Tekken posted this in the Robin thread:

here's something a little more tim drake friendly, and less ambiguous as to who it is under there.

I WILL NOT ACCEPT HARSH REALITIES. sob. he will be in arkham city, and for that - i should be grateful.
He also did a green one, but I prefer the black. As I said in that thread, this is pretty much the end for any argument claiming Robin wouldn't work visually on screen.

That looks incredible.

About the whole "Robin wouldn't work on screen" argument is poor excuse. If Matilda can work in Leon (The Professional) then Robin can work in a Batman movie.

The biggest problem with Robin is that he doesn't fit with Batman's whole "strike fear" vibe. No matter how much black you put on him, that Robin still doesn't look frightening.

Robin isn't supposed to make people afraid. He's a trickster. It doesn't hurt Batman, the same way "Good cop/Bad cop" makes the bad cop more effective, not less effective.

In fact, duos with opposing personalities like that are pretty much the rule in fiction. You don't team someone up with a character just like him, because that's boring.

He's not supposed to, though. He's very different from Batman in his approach to fighting crime.

Robin isn't meant to look frightening. Batman is the one who is supposed to do that.
