Yep. That's it. There have been quite a few versions of this. And I'm just focusing on the color scheme, anything extra, like the cape that drapes over the shoulders, would be a bonus.

I mean, just a few VERY simple tweaks makes TDK suit look sooooo much better. The only big change is increasing the size of the chest symbol. After that, it's literally all coloring.

It still looks functional, and it looks like an actual Batman costume! It's possible to do both!

I would love it for Nolan to do something like this. Unfortunately I'm not keeping my hopes up.

While I think the TDK Batsuit does look like Batman, and I like both the original black color scheme (for the bodysuit) and the black and gray color schemes equally, I definitely agree otherwise. The bigger chest symbol allows the symbol to stand out much, even if it is the same color as the background. The modifications to the cape's attachment system would allow for more imagery of Batman concealing himself in the cape. The black utility belt blends into the Batsuit (and therefore most environments the Batsuit itself blends into) better, removing potential targets for criminals.

Call me crazy, but I've always wanted the classic blue, gray, and yellow. If Spider-Man can do it, Batman can do it. I don't understand why every director has followed Burton's "black Batman". There's never been an all-black Batman suit until 1989, and now every movie since has mimicked it. GIVE ME BLUE.

I want this in live action:

I don't mind the nearly black bodysuit, but what does annoy me is when you can't see the chest symbol. That's been a problem with both the BB suit and the TDK suit. If you have a black bodysuit, have a matte black chest symbol.

And really, I just want the bodysuit to be a more uniform color so the checkerboard pattern isn't so easily apparent.

Blue certainly wouldn't translate well on film.

Agreed. I personally have never liked the blue on Batman. I've always favored darker colors myself. But that's just personal preference. For a while I liked Spidey in the symbiote costume more then his traditional one. (It would have been badass if they could have kept the original red/black design of the symbiote costume too).

HELL NO TO THE BLUE. Black and gray is fine, but blue (especially light blue, such as in the picture you posted) has no place on Bruce's Batsuit. It doesn't really fit Batman to me (except maybe for Dick Grayson as Batman). Black suggests a dark, tragic hero, blue suggests a lighthearted, comic hero.

Blue certainly wouldn't translate well on film.

Agreed. It doesn't even look as good as the black in comics.

Agreed. I have to say that I don't Dick Grayson's Batman in blue (since he is a much lighthearted person than Bruce Wayne and a bit of a showman), but Bruce Wayne looks best in black.

Why? Why do people want this? Maybe I'm too old or mature or cynical, but I cannot fathom why someone would want this. Leave it to the comics. I mean, Nolan's films are the most grounded and practical of all comic films, and so many fans still want to regress.

I will admit I don't mind a blueish tint when the light shines on the suit similar to how it does in the comics, but we've only seen that with the suits that have a shinier exterior to them ala BR/BF.

I don't think a blue Batman would work on film. In the comics it's easy to avoid Batman appearing in a bad light, but on film it would be a lot more difficult for the suit to look as menacing as it does in most of the shots were it blue.

I'm not asking for a fabric based suit here, I just want a more traditional color scheme. And with one, the TDK suit looks pretty darn good.
Honestly speaking, I like the upper torso of the TDK batsuit. The hints of gray in there are a nice touch, and we would have been able to see the Bat symbol if they didn't put that stupid breast plate over the chest area. While they did go crazy with all of the pieces, it still gives off a better natural musculature than the BB batsuit ever did.

The areas that need work are the legs, shoulders/arms, open gauntlets (close them back), cap being able to cover his shoulders, and the neck/cowl.
Haha, I'm getting too tired, I need to start paying attention to what I'm typing. Or go to bed at a normal time...but that's too logical.
When you put BB, I was thinking hell no to that abomination of a costume.

I can't go so far as to say it looks all that much better. The contrast is about right and the chest logo is a definite improvement but its still the TDK suit with nearly all the same problems and the puzzle effect seems to be worsened by the color scheme not lessened. There are variants of this manip using bits and pieces of the Begins suit and while those aren't perfect either they come closer to the desired outcome than does this particular rendition. It is better though... in the way a D is better than an F.

Heh, I doubt that's the problem.

A blue and grey scheme could be made to work perfectly well, and I would love to see it. So would all of you, once it happened.

To be honest, if the options where only all black or some blue variant I'd take the all black in a heartbeat.

I agree.

Wow. I really, really like this.

Me too.

I certainly doubt it would look better than the same design would with black instead. Blue on the Batsuit never made sense to me, because there isn't any such thing as a blue bat (that I know of), and generally, it's less fitting for a dark character like Batman than black. The blue cape and cowl (et cetera) was an inking mistake, and that's what it will remain to me.

To be honest, if the options where only all black or some blue variant I'd take the all black in a heartbeat.

Same here.

The blue was only implemented due to the poor paper and colouring the colour blue had to be used to highlight blacks. The word "FLICK" could not be used because the ink had a tendency to run and become... Y'know. I prefer black, but I do like in the flashbacks in comics when they show the blue eg Battle For the Cowl.

But a grey bodysuit should be ready now.

Most people DON'T want this... even those of us who don't want rubber don't want this!

There is Black&Gray or there is Black. Period.

I did not know that.... hmm, now the question is: Is 'FLICK OFF' a lime? ;)

The new suit reminds me of an old manip from HUMANIMAL:

Now this is what I'd like to see in the new series after Rises.

Also, why hasn't anyone dissected the suit in that TDKR promo pic? There are definite differences between that pic and the TDK suit.
