I don't think we'll get a new suit, but I don't mind. The suit we have fits Nolan's universe.


BUT... his suit was modified for agility and mobility. With Bane, Batman will probably have to make a few modifications to deal with Bane's incredible strength. Something tells me that Batman's plates won't hold up.

You probably don't but the merchandise people would like a new suit. They need the make new toys, new t-shirts, new backpacks with Batman with the new costume.

I think that one thing that stands ou with the new suit that Batman would need to logically adress would be the torso armor because he gets stabbed twice by the joker in TDK and shot by Two Face in the gut. If Miranda stabs him, that is even more reason to upgrade his torso armor.

I like having a new suit for each film. It sets them apart, so they each feel a little different. It also just makes sense for Nolan's very practical Batman to upgrade every once in a while.

I swore up and down there would be a new suit, because there is ALWAYS a new suit for the sake of merchandising. Now I'm not so sure. Nolan was the first to actually work the suits into the story, where in all the other Batman movies they'd just start right off in a new suit now explanation. I guess if there is no reason to change the suit in the plot and it works for both the camera and the actor there's no reason for a new suit.

(I'm not referring to the gimmick suits in BF and B&R)

There are some minor tweaks. If you look at the Pittsburgh shoot his biceps are covered by plates and if you look at the picture in this thread above they're exposed.

Explanations are overrated.

Again, it makes perfect sense for Batman to update his batsuit as better versions become available. In fact, for someone in his line of work, it's just common sense. Why we need explanations - such as Batman needing to be faster, and be able to turn his head (no **** ) - I just don't understand.

More than likely, he'll upgrade his suit, but we won't see it for a while, all that stuff will be filmed inside within the Cardington Hangars and Los Angeles. It won't be revealed this early.

All of you naysayers may be disappointed if we catch wind that there actually is a new suit, just because we've seen one set of set pics and one shot from a teaser dosent mean that there is ultimately no new suit. Imagination is the word people

I can see the exact two overlapping straps on each biceps in the recent set pics that are on the TDK suit. I don't think there are any changes. Also the legs look the same to me.

I would like too see a new suit, just because it's always fun to see what the costume designers come up with this time.
But I liked the TDK suit, so I wouldn't really mind if they kept it.

This. And we have no idea whatsoever when this scene takes place in the film.
IIRC we've seen the Begins suit early on when TDK was in production, and a few people here said the same things. (In case you're wondering, I'm reading the boards for a long time now, I just registered recently.)

Of course these theories and debates are going to become mundane.

As for the suit, who knows? I believe we may get a new or modified suit but there's no guarantee.

Keep this in mind, Lucius Fox has supplied Bruce Wayne both suits. If the rumors of Bane or Talia killing Fox are true then Batman might be on his own gadget-wise.

Going further, what happens if Bane happens to develop a suit on his own based on past schematics from Wayne Enterprise?

If Morgan Freemans character dies in the movie, its going to be pretty difficult for Bruce to get a new suit, considering Lucias Fox has built the modified suits for him in the past
