1. Batman vs Bane
2. Sexual tension between Bat and Cat
3. Wrapping up the story-arc of Bruce Wayne

That is not how you spell 'deameanor', you spell it 'dream-manor' with a hyphen. :cwink:
But aye, I imagine that will be how it plays too, but, I'd like to see a bit of costumed action, independant of Bane's plot, I do think we will get a Catwoman scene, robbing somewhere in costume, because when establishing Gotham, it would lack something if we were not to see someone in costume doing their thing.

Oopsie! LoL Fixed n thanks.

Well it was mentioned that that after the prologue we would be introduced to new characters, makes sense, we might get to see Catwoman introduced early on or Kyle rather.

I always post what I hope and would like to see from these films, but I think Nolan will of course not make TDKR feel like TDK. So I doubt we shoud expect to see any Batman/Bruce so early on.

Makes more sense that it would be set up to introduce new charcaters and arcs, all building up to a shot of the new Wayne Manor then possibly Batcave.

We should be getting an 80's montage scene to wrap up the events between the two movies.

Haha, funny that you say this because I actually like the way the two Karate Kid films summarized the film before them in their opening sequences; a way to summarize what had already happened before and to keep the audience up to speed. Karate Kid Part 3 summarized both KK1 and KK2 in its opening sequence pretty nicely...it was an interesting way to open a film.

I know this won't happen, but wouldn't it be cool if TDKR summarized both Batman Begins and TDK in its openng sequence in this style? After all, it has been 8 years :cwink:

i hope this one starts off with him stopping a robbery or something

1. Above all else, Bruce Wayne and everything that encompasses being Bruce Wayne.
2. Marion Cotillard and Anne Hathaway
3. Batman whooping Bane's ass.

i didn't see the prologue and i completely forgot about the airplane scene

then i hope the first scene with bats in action is him stopping a robbery. maybe a armored truck or a wearhouse

I just want to see more Batman VS villain fight scenes, this is my only negative about the series so far. I mean, don't get me wrong, there's been scenes of Batman fighting people. But that's the thing though, people. I want a few really awesome one on one fight. Bane, will hopefully be the villain to do it, considering Scarecrow and Joker weren't really brute fighters.

We probably wont see Bats in action til the halfway mark of the film. Like Nolan said, theyll be taking their time after those first 6 minutes. I would like to see them showing Gotham and establishing that its 8 years later. Shots of Gordon, Blake and then straight to Bruce. The first scene of Bruce is either gonna be him in the rebuilt batcave (i think thatll come a tad later tho) or my personal fav..the scene with Bruce in wayne manor walking towards a tray of food with his cane. From the trailer obvs. Thats what i think the order is gonna be. We'll see Bruce and Alfred conversing, then itll be time for some Selina. Theyll have to establish quite a bit before they get back to an action scene. And thatll probably be something with Bane once again. It'll mirror Begins in how Batman will only be shown around the middle of the movie

I hope the thirty minutes of establishing Gotham is interesting enough to hold the audience's attention. A half hour with no action sounds like it has potential to be quite dull.

I think after the 6 minute Bane intro it will segue to Gotham and showing the happenings of how peacfull the city has become, showcasing that it has been a quite 8 years. Then cut to the underground of the steam building up.

I would love for them to go directly to Bruce in the Batcave though. More than anything I really want to see his demeanor after 8 years.

Batman making periodic forays into the underbelly to deal with the tensions to maintain the "peace" would let us get plenty of Batman time. He'd also need to make appearances to stage chases between himself and Gordon to keep up the pretense from TDK.

Or maybe it will be a real chase intiated by another Commissioner. Maybe?

Or the potential to help get dat Oscar. :woot:

I really want Chris Nolan to get dat Oscar but it's so doubtful. :csad: We can still have hope for Wally or Zimmer though.

Maybe if he has Foley breathing down his neck. Since they had the convo at the end of TDK where Batman said he'd take the heat, it would be hard for me to buy a real chase happening.

No action could easily be Bane's mercs gauging the social climate of Gotham, Bruce considering that he has yet to really grieve his parents' death, or spending time looking at Gotham with Miranda as she tries to persuade him to take up his father's endevours to help the city.

It could be boring, but it doesn't have to be boring.

@Mr. Wooden Alligator

Yeah, I know what you mean. I just have a hard time seeing Gordon issue a huge manhunt to keep up the pretense, like in the set videos where a large amount of SWAT & Police were chasing him. I think Foley will do this rather than Gordon. I think Gordon would keep up the pretense by only using a slightly small force.

However, you could also argue that Gordon would use a large force to keep up the theatrics, which is what you stated anyway.

I agree. I think those scenes should really build up the characters while inserting some tension and foreshadowing.

I don't think any part of this film can be boring, even without action, I'd watch 3 hours of Alfred peeling Tangerines.

Yeah, even if it does get nominated somehow for best picture, it would likely be beat out by something like Les Miserables which, coincidently, also stars Anne Hathaway.

sadly a cbm will never win best picture

i bet the last episode of the brave and the bold has better writing and story telling than some garbage movies that have been nominated

I want this film to be the best film I've ever seen.

Careful with that; I wanted the same from Spider-Man 3. This does seem to be in a slightly better position at the moment. For one thing, Nolan and Goyer have had the story in line since 08, so there's been time for them to hopefully hammer out any faulty logic etc.

I do think this will be better than TDK. It is a good movie but in retrospect it shouldn't be too hard to top.

The villains are at least a big step up from Joker/Two-Face. Back in 08 after Two-Face was killed and Riddler rumors were abound, I was afraid that this movie would feel like a poor man's TDK.

im not in that boat but i do want it to be the best batman film which begins currently holds the title of
