Right on. Still don't get how Nolan wasn't nominated for Inception. That was...mindblowing. :oldrazz:

Agreed. The snubs were STRONG that year. I'm still pissed Andrew Garfield didn't get that much deserved Best Supporting Actor Nod as well as the infamous Nolan/Inception snub.

This will be an emotional movie. Bane will have complete control, Batman is nowhere to be found. Then he "Rises" and takes Gotham back. Now that's epic.

If TDKR is anywhere as good as TDK, it's got a real legit shot. Remember TDK's snub is widely accepted as one of the main proponents in the 10 nominee change. If you had told me that a batman film was considered to be a snub let alone any type of serious contender for a stuffy awards show back in the day, I would have laughed in your face.

That being said it's got some real competition this year, so I wouldn't be that shocked or distraught if it failed to get one.

So we get a crappy cover with a misshapen Catwoman and Batman, a few pics, one of Bane in motorcycle attire and a few other random pics of the cast (most importantly Bruce in a bathrobe) and that automatically equates to an oscar worthy film?

I didn't realize motorcycles jumping over cars and creating a hostage situation out of the Stock Exchange was so awe inspiring and oscar worthy. Nolan and TDKR should definitely win for sure.

Agreed. I really don't even care if Batman, or at least the symbol of Batman, meets his demise.

Bruce is done being Batman in this film. No doubt.

Yeah. 2008 didn't have nearly as much going on as this year. 2012 is the biggest movie year I remember in a long time. Competition will be tough. It should definitely lead the CBM genre in nominations and awards though. Also I know a few of the awards TDK lost are considered by many failures of the academy. Maybe they have smartened up since? (not likely)

Oddly enough, this might turn out to be one of most inspirational/uplifting movies in decades (referring to Batman triumphantly returning, Rocky style).

I can't imagine what it's going to be like on opening night, feeling the 8-year gap, sensing Bruce being gone for awhile, and seeing how dark and how bad the chips have fallen, and just when Bane is in total control and Gotham is at its absolute worst, Freakin' Batman suits up for one last hurrah, one last mission. It's going to be absolute electricity in the theater.

Damn. :BA

Lets forget about the fact that people were merely SPECULATING on it's potential oscar chances, rather than predicting it due to a few promo pics. I think TDK and inception's strong presence during awards season makes TDKR's awards already a legit conversation.

And let's not throw any delusions and forget about what "oscar-worthy" actually means.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Morena Baccarin should have been Catwoman. :cmad:

Hathaway looks like a teenybopper that just came from a bad Halloween party where some nerd tried to feel her up during a game of bobbing for apples. :whatever:

Hathaway is Catwoman. DEAL WITH IT.

you agree bane become a quadriplegic would be the best punishment

Hathaway does look young as Catwoman (early twenties) but I don't see how that's a bad thing. If anything that's a plus.

If they picked an actress who looked older I'm sure we'd have people calling her grandma and "too old". It's always something.

Bane looks incredible. My favorite shot of him.

What does he wear here, I wonder? And what is that place with the hostages...
