Wow, thanks for posting those article quotes!
Nolan says that he's naturally drawn to Batman's more iconic villains-as long as they can live credibly within his more realistic neo-noir treatment of Gotham...Hence Catwoman was irresistible to Nolan both because of her pop culture stature and the fact that the crafty cat burglar is Batman's earthiest of baddies. That said Nolan's Selina Kyle is presented as an enigma, maybe even to herself."
"Who is Selina Kyle? She's someone who wants you to think she can answer that question."
JackL please don't hotlink my photosCan you upload them someplace else?
Thanks! (Can you edit your post in the Photos thread too?)Ups¡ Sorry. I'll do right now
All great information, nothing very new but really solidifying the fact that Team Nolan is going for something risky and great here.
Reading this kind of implies this ending is going to be anything but: "And then Batman gets the upper hand and kicks Bane's ass" there's a heavy weight going on in these films as individuals and as a series.
Sometimes there's only consequence to actions and not some kind of retribution. Sometimes you have to life with the damage of your choices forever and I really think we're going to get something like that.
Needless to say yesterday's pictures and this article today really have revamped my anticipation for this film. It's going to be bigger and better than TDK and I really don't think the other movies this season are going to compare.
Let the games begin![]()

It's time to bring back THE KIRBY HUG!!"Listening to Team Nolan talk about the film, you find yourself wondering: 'Will Batman actually survive till the end credits?"...."We wanted to show a character who is aging, who is damaged, who may not be in his prime," says Bale. "He has never encountered anyone with such blunt force as Bane, and this is not the best time for him to encounter him."
They're working with a lot of lofty ideas, no doubt. Definitely more ambitious, and we should be in for a treat. All great information, nothing very new but really solidifying the fact that Team Nolan is going for something risky and great here.
