Tate/Talie is a bad guy. She's leading the truck with the doomsday device. I doubt Bruce would just forgive her and leave with her.

I got to read some spoilers from a HIGHLY informed source that

Bats forgives her, gets her to the Bat with Catwoman, take both of them to the batcave, get them naked and
... THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. Ending credits.

for him to be supposedly retired for those 8 yrs n comeback and then retire again just seems so.......i dunno it just reminds me of michael jordans comeback story lol
It just reminds me of the Lion King

But that would mean...

Bane is Joe Chill

But not in the context of a Batman film, or a superhero film. It almost be the equivalent of Bond dying. We've known the batman to be everlasting, so if he dies in the name of his mission, it only makes sense in regards to the themes presented in the past two films. As a man, he can die, he is flesh and blood and bone, it can be broken and destroyed. But as a symbol, he is everlasting and inspiring, Batman has spent his career using that to put the fear of god into criminals, maybe that isn't the answer, maybe just like how Thomas and Marthas death galvanised the rich into action into helping gotham, maybe Bruce Wayne's death will set into motion events that make sure Gotham will never go back to the depths that it was, proving that a city doesn't need to be destroyed to be saved, all it needs is inspiration and an example of heroics with a selfless act of sacrifice by bruce wayne.

You got that right, bruce will never really live a normal life, he will always have this monster in him, if he lets go it's because he is dead and finally at peace, if he doesn't die, then he will adapt. He can't just be the demonic bat-son of Ra's, nor can he be the spoilt rich kid bruce wayne, he needs to come to terms with both sides and be a combination. I don't believe he will "die" but he certainly won't continue as batman and he won't be on a house on the hill smiling.

Ah! But here's the thing: Bruce remaining as Gotham is happy...for Gotham. Not for Bruce. AND, that will be the point of discussion for the movie. With Inception, we left discussing what the top meant. Lots of different views.

I'll admit my initial pass was wrong, just something I typed up quickly. But something where Bruce accepts that he cannot stop being Batman, that he needs Batman, is something that can be discussed. Is it good for him? Bad for him? Has he, perhaps, lost his mind? Lost himself in the monster?

I don't see Batman happy that he's Batman. He can't be, otherwise he wouldn't be Batman.

Except you're not conveying these as what you think will happen. You're saying it will.

I just said this is what I think will happen.

And I still don't have any evidence at all that CW will kill Bane. It is just something someone said.

If I have evidence I can actually accept it as a probability, but there is more evidence against that happening.

Too much ending talk around here...it's about getting time to bow out. Ugh going to be hard to resist.

Can the SHH! crew put a big headline at the top WHEN the ending leaks. So I Know to leave for good. Please please?

Agreed, I already know too much about the movie. But the knowing the ending would ruin it haha.

I just bought my presale tickets for IMAX here in Argentina. Sad to know that the first screening is a week later that US. I won't be able to read your reviews in real time! That sucks!

It does suck, but it's not that hard to stay away. I left The Avengers boards when it was released overseas a week earlier.

I have never been as clueless and curious about an ending to a movie before I've seen it – ever.

Endings are very important to me when it comes to movies too, it's the last impression, the final touch. If an ending blows me away It's very easy for me to forget and forgive flaws earlier in the movie. At the same time a bad or dissatisfying ending can hinder an overall good movie from elevating to great.

It's also a probably a big reason I'm such a huge fan of Nolan, I love the endings to all his movies and I think it's one of his strongest areas as a writer/director.

One example of my love for great endings is TDK, if that ending didn't blow me away like it does – with multiple goosebumps as a result – I might just have had BB as my favorite Batman movie.

I value endings in movies very, very high.

Ok, now I see why Nolan and Goyer were so moved by the ending.

Let's END this ending talk... cause chances are that this ending won't be anything like We imagine, or could come up with. I think Nolan is gonna surprise and "take Us" with our pants down! I'm so hoping for a kind of, "whoooow - Didn't see that one coming!" reaction.

I just asked Hunter Rider about putting up a spoiler announcement, so let us hope

I think you're 100% right. We can guess, speculate and imagine all we want, but Nolan knows how to end things and do it right! He will do what the story/character/idea needs.

I beleive in Christopher Nolan :P

Remember when critics got invitations to TDKR a couple days ago? Some aren't seeing it until July 17th:

Nolan must be a great director to work with. So many actors have been praising him in interviews, some of them saying they'll do anything for him.

I approve this spoiler.

i'm getting a little nervous about critics not seeing the movie so soon now

I think with this film they are only going to show it to a select few critics to keep the story under wraps. It isn't a case of them protecting whether its a bad film or not....its about keeping the story....and probably the ending...under wraps.
