Thats another thing that threw me for a loop - and I can't quite remember the supposed date ranges for the previous films. Does anyone have that information handy so we can compare *when* BB and TDK took place?

And frankly, the planning of what goes down in TDKR and what Bane does seems so terrifyingly meticulous that I wouldn't put it past him to have been planning something like this for years - maybe since Ras' initial failure? But again, I forget when Ras technically had his plot foiled.

I think that guy is clutching at straws there, but if Blake was posing as Batman in that scene it would be analogous to the part in Knightfall where Robin has to escape from the sewer as Killer Croc attacks Bane.

Interesting possibility, but not likely.

Just saw that.

That article has been out since the 27th and BOF wasn't the only one to get that interview. Various other film blogs/sites/publications were there for that who would be more qualified in getting linked.

Strange that they'd post the most politicized one.

TDK (probably) took place in 2008, a few months after BB.

Yeah I think my 2nd thought it probably the most likely use of a program like this - otherwise why would they even indicate it being in existence?

But then, where does the nuke/earthquake machine come in? Maybe Bane wants to decimate the city, pop all the digital records with Rykin's programs, and then let everyone tear each other to shreds to be the top of the food chain before rebuilding Gotham in their vision?

Maybe Bane looks at Gotham and sees a prison akin to one he spent his past life in. The Harvey Dent Act is close to making Gotham a corrupt prison, depending on who you ask. So that could be one factor that draws him to Gotham.

I can't dig you up a quote Cory, but Nolan has said that Robin "is in a crib somewhere."

If we accept that Bane is working with the LOS, we also know they already had interest in tearing Gotham down from its 'corruption' as well, so that's another motive.

Funny. I always thought BB was in autumn/fall and that TDK was in spring/summer.

Thanks. I don't think Bane is working with the LoS we saw in BB. I think he was too brutal and was expelled. So he may have taken some of the LoS with him, but that's the extent that I think he's with the LoS. Ego might lead him to refer to his group as the LoS as a matter of pride.
