I actually really REALLY like that poster...

It's too late in the day to ***** about photoshop. It's better than the third poster regardless.

now this looks like the next step from the "world without rules poster" it immediately tells me that not only have the stakes raised but there is a more uplifting hopeful tone to the film beyond the very obviously "apocalyptic" mood. Looks very operatic to me...love it. I do take back the blu-ray thing i said though, I'd much rather it be the one with Batman standing on the cop car.

Oh and if you don't want photoshop in this day and age...go call up Drew Struzan.

The Batman Rise is still the best for me. Simple but bad ass.

I agree. I really don't care about that photoshop thing and I think this poster is way better than the 3 "Rise" posters.

Matt's posters > any of the official ones

:awesome:

Yep... that's what really salvages it.

What made the last one garbage wasn't just the photoshop job, it was how uninspired it was too. There was nothing in there that really let you gauge at the evolution of the films, they just slapped together something into a poor man's "world without rules" poster and stuck the Rises title on it. Even the colour tone was all wrong.

At least with this one, I'm feeling the finality, and all the emotions I should be feeling for the finale of the films. The photoshop work is poor, but the concept splendid and I wouldn't mind it as my DVD cover at all.

All I know is that both the posters for Begins and TDK leave TDKR's floating dead in the water.

This latest one sooo looks like Batman is being raptured. :lmao:

Bringing to the new page -

IMAX POSTER

Batman is sulking over the fact that he’s responsible for what just happened to Gotham after he allowed himself to “rise” with Miranda at Alfred’s and Fox’s requests. 8 years of pent up frustration mixed in with an encounter with a Female Ghul can have disastrous results for the city.

I do like the reddish tint to the poster, it would go really well on the wall with the brown BB poster and Blue TDK one.

I love the concept, the execution is very poor.
I agree.
The details and the perspective of the city on the background is a bit sucky in my opinion.

I'm glad I wasnt overdoing it with my fanart with creating a city that's totally get f-ed after seeing this :p

Yeah, and that's the funny thing. Conceptually I'd probably say the "Rise" posters are pretty weak, but they're executed so much better than all the others and are so "Batman" that they're a sight to see.

As a disclaimer: I think "Batman in the Rain" is the kind of iconic shot that can go with any movie, it's not respective to Rises like with this one IMO. At the same time the IMAX one looks shoddy whereas the RISE ones look aesthetically awesome. If WB had a better graphic designers I think I'd have very different opinions on most of these.

it's kinda like the Batsymbol is a shining ray of hope above Gotham

It still ******* sucks though

Agreed. And this is actually from IMAX's FB page.

Seriously....did they have 'fan-manip' contests for junior high-schoolers or something when it came to their posters on this movie? It's bewildering just how much they dropped the ball on these. Not just in re-using photos...but the angle on Batman doesn't match the rest of the picture in this or the other one. It's unbelievable, really.
