There are actually probably closer to 50 screenings tomorrow. There are screenings in each major city in the U.S. tomorrow for exhibitors. I will be going to the one in Dallas.

The film companies generally send out an invite about a month prior to the release of a new film for exhibitors to screen it at a location near them. They choose the locations that you are able to go to and you contact your rep at the film company to hold your place. The timing always depends on the movie, but it is usually held 2-3 weeks prior to the release. Closer to 2 for the larger films.

theShape,

You probably don't need to get there 2 and 1/2 hours early. They are usually held in HUGE theaters that hold more than 500-600 people and I've never been to a screening with more than 150 people. They do this so that you can have a good movie experience and basically choose your ideal seat. If you get there early, wait in the parking lot, because there likely will not be anyone there to let you in. Now, that may not be true for New York, but I've been to several in the Dallas area. I generally get there 30 minutes early and I am the only person in the theater.

Hope you enjoy it! I'll post my thoughts as well if anyone is interested!

You are seeing it tomorrow as well? Yeah of course we want thoughts! bring it on.

So far the two main villains are your two favorite villains? :oldrazz:

well the joker wasnt a main villain in the dark knight I believe that was Harvey dent/two face. joker was a similar villain to scarecrow in that they were not the main villain in their films.

Um... did you watch TDK? Joker was the reason for all of it. He was most certainly the main villain.

im sorry did I interpret TDK wrong? I thought the films main villain was harvey det/two face? one of the main storylines was the rise and fall of harvey dent/twoface? correct me if Im wrong
He wasn't a villain until the last twenty minutes, though.

The Joker is most definitely the film's main villain. He orchestrated everything - including the fall of Harvey Dent.

The fact that this even needs to be explained is mindblowing.

You do remember that the Joker caused the fall of Harvey Dent... right? It was the Joker's fault...

I agree with Bane_Fanboy. Also, Gollem was the main baddie in LOTR. Snape in Harry Potter. Boba Fett in Star Wars.
