Nolan series-wise, I loved the Begins batsuit. I thought it was very menacing. Yeah, the neck was a little big but it captured the essence of Batman pretty well. I really liked Scarecrow's mask, Joker's entire outfit, and Two-Face's post-burn look.

For this movie in particular, I can't say that I'm very thrilled by the costumes. (Gordon is always solid though! :oldrazz: ) I'm not a fan of the puzzle-pieced bobble head batsuit, Bane is completely unrecognizable, and while I love the Newmar catsuit...I don't think Nolan should have copied that look for this movie.

That's what I thought. So is it going to ruin the movie for you in the fact that you dislike the costumes of three of the major characters in the movie? I mean one is tolerable but three is a lot.

Overall I think people have too many thoughts about how things should be.

I wonder if we'll get a scene where we see Bruce (and not Batman) fight. I guess it's possible if there are any flashbacks.

Not particularly. While I might not be thrilled with them, at least two of the three look like their respective characters. (Batman and Catwoman.)

I'm a batman fan through and through though. I've only ever walked out of one movie in my life and there's only one Batman movie that I haven't enjoyed. The answer to both of those would be Batman & Robin. :funny:

To be fair, Nolan set the precedent by over-explaning everything and having to find a reason to make every single thing functional. To see some of the same people who thought we were going to get a tactical looking Catwoman and say that anything else would be inferior to now turn around and praise a 1960's rehash is a bit disheartening.

not saying they do because i know they dont but what if the gauntlet blades opened up to a somewhat batarang i was remebering the chisel ground ones from BB that fold over

Well that's good. It would be a great shame if it was a deal breaker for you.

LOL I have to ask, at what point in the movie did you throw your hands up and leave?

I sure hope Catwomans suit is bulletproof if shes helping Bats againts the LOS.

It's definitely not a deal breaker, but it is a bit distracting. You know?

I think it was after seeing Mr. Freeze make the millionth ice pun while sitting in a robe and teddy bear slippers. I just couldn't take it anymore after the party scene with Batman pulling out the Batman Forever credit card and seeing Bane act like a complete moron dressed in a monkey suit saying "monkey work". Not to mention, the butt shots of Batman and Robin while suiting up.

The only thing that her costume has in common with the one from the 60's is the silhouette from neck to head, not even the hardware on her head is identical. goggles, gloves, belt, mask, boots, and now a front zipper; all new.

If everyone would really take a long look, you would see the major differences; heck, we don't even know all it can "do" or "is" yet (she said both, "is" and "do").

We're going to have to agree to disagree. It might be slightly altered, but it's still largely a rehash of Newmar's catsuit.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly is top ten best movies of all time, it's better than any superhero-movie ever. OMG. :)

I wouldnt say its better than any superhero movie, but it is in the top 10 westerns of All time for sure!

Unforgiven is tops, homie!

Nolan choosing Newmar's look for Catwoman isn't something so unpredictable. His Joker somewhat resembled Caesar Romero's, minus the stache and neat hairdo. Plus Joker wore a clown mask like either Romero's Joker or one of his lackeys.

Storywise, its possible that Catwoman just didn't think things through like Bruce when she built the suit, or that she didn't care if she got injured/killed. There's people like that who'd try to commit passive suicide by "saving people."

Well, its a fact, Anne's suit have influence of Julie Newmar. And Catwoman suit in the 90's. And Adam Hughes suit and Darwin Cook art. They can design a suit who can be work in Nolan universe and pay homage to everthing great about the character before that. Now im happy with her look.

Have we figured out what Bruce was holding in this Lambo scene? It doesn't look like a cell phone or if it is it looks way outdated lol.

Probably just a walkie to communicate with Chris and the crew.

The controls to something perhaps? Like his flying vehicle, or a robotic replacement for Alfred?
