He talked a bit about it but was more about Nolan.

^ Same here. I'm excited to watch it.

What if all the filming and shooting we've seen has just been a diversion and the real movie is being shot in secret? Huh? Huh? Any takers?

What we've seen is just the stunt doubles rehearsing fights while the real actors have been filming on massive top secret underground sets.

Matthew Modine(He's playing "nixon") just tweeted this:

#BatmanBegins I'm working on the dark knight rises. everyone is so enthusiastic. genuine. very Nolan.

People need to stop comparing a literal minded filmmaker like Nolan to a cinematic painter like Kubrick. Fincher is a more apt comparison.

Seriously. geez. We get it Modine, you're happy to currently be employed.

Because you guys know more about their styles and methods than someone who has worked with both of them. If he wants to compare the two, let him compare the two.

No, I won't let him. In fact I'm giving him a call right now.

The styles and methods are clear to anyone who has eyes. The Nolan and Kubrick comparisons are practically bandwagon now. Not to mention a completely, utterly wrong one. It places incredible hyperbole on Nolan as he is not even in the same milky way as Kubrick even beyond filmmaking styles.

I know what you're sayin' (and agree) but maybe Modine just meant they have similar personalities... or have lived in England for a long time, or both never smile. It could be anything really.

Maybe he just meant the day to day on set process?

Nolan is rather Lax on his crew. He works extra long, but relaxing hours. Kubrick treated his actors like dirt. Asking them to perform seemingly impossible tasks. And of course the billion takes. There is a reason he didn't work with an actor more than once.

Nolan has a vision. But he is willing to compromise. Kubrick was an obsessive perfectionist.

also does anyone have nolan's number? i want to ask him some things about the movie
