if you pause batman returns, when he opens those wings and step forward a few frames you can see the bloke stood behind him pulling and folding the wings out behind his cape - i found this out by fluke whn i paused the dvd to get a brew

yes i am just watch batman returns i when he is stood up and and talking and the wings pop out trust me i laughed my head off i did it last week, but i dont have a clue how i would put the frames on here, just try it! you must have returns somewhere if your a bat man fan, come on someone stick it up and prove me right

on a side note i also noticed how bad the casting was for the minor roles in those films that never really seemed to notice years ago

black harvey dent?
dont start me on gordon
and im not gonna mention the joker or batman what i think about them because i will anileated on here

I've seen just as embarassing things in films I love... just have to learn to ignore it :hehe:

Nowhere near as bad but does anyone have the gif of that extra from TDK looking into the camera with that funny expression? I make sure I never look for that when I watch the movie otherwise it ruins the immersion.

Found it:

good point yeah the more i think about that series the more i cant watch it again and how cheesy some of the sets were etc, never seen that extra thing in the dk when is that?

one scene that i cringe at in the dark knight is when the camera is spinning around gordon and harvey dent on the rooftop are agueing as bats just stands there. gordon burst through the door and forgets his american accent and goes natural cockney

"they knew we were caming!"

hate hearing that, hope theres nout like that in tdkr

I would have never have noticed that. NEVER.

EDIT: I'm not defending or criticizing Burton. But Returns has great moments in them. Most are of Catwoman.

Her first full appearances I think is subtle genius. From the lighting to the way she's standing, it all works.

Yeah, there's a lot of screw ups like that in other movies. There's a TON in TDK:

-When Batman is in the interrogation room, you can see a camera guy for a second.

-In the opening scene, you can see a reflection in the adjacent building, and it's the filming helicopter.

-In the scene where the convoy is driving through the entrance of the tunnel you can see the black helicopter the film crew uses right behind the police helicopter.

-In the scene were the Joker first meets the mobsters you can see the reflection of the green screen on the table.

-When The Joker gets on the bus, after blowing up the hospital, about halfway along inside the bus is the IMAX camera. You can also see crew members signal the bus driver to go.

-During the bank robbery, the camera operator's shadow is visible on the vault door as he/she passes it.

I've also heard that in BB, you can see camera lights reflecting in Mr. Earls glasses during a board meeting, but I haven't went back and checked.

also when the tumbler is flipped in dk the tumbler is landing top down and then it cuts away then cuts to it landing the right way up but we have gone off topic as this is the speculation thread but all good point none the less

Christopher walken was the best part of batman returns. Everything else besides moments of catwoman is so bad it's funny. I do enjoy watching it as background noise when I nap.

i think because we have prob rewatch this films over and over again is why we start to see mistakes, still damn good film and i cant wait for what comes next, but this is only an origin trilogy where we are seeing how he became the batman we all love, i wonder if batman at his peak career will ever be done or if so done right with all his bat team and established events? i don't know what with dc doing the 52.

I loved that killing Rachel wasn't just random and weird. It fit in with the story wonderfully and gives me a like for her character as she will serve a big part in that universe through her death
