This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]372337[/split]
Just speculating here but im not convinced that if bruce took off his mask that the city would be inspired.
Mostly cause im not convinced most of Gotham even knows who Bruce Wayne is.
He is "Gothams favorite son" but he was totally ignored in Harvey Dent's "I am the batman" press conference.
So unless something happens or happended(8 years) I just dont think Bruce Wayne is known by Gotham enough for him revealing himself to make a huge impact the way some suggest.
Do we know if we are getting a trailer in addition to the prologue, or just the prologue?
Plus, we'll probably get a quick sum-up trailer at the end of the prologue like we did with TDK...
Just over a week away!

Indeed. I hope all of the footage in question makes its way online soon after one way or another. Knowing people have seen something TDKR related and I haven't is too much to take.I really hope the release the trailer online the same day that Holmes 2 comes out, I know sometimes they wait a few days after the movie comes out to release it online.

I hope so, otherwise it going to be bootleg after bootleg with the maximum effect being somewhat muted when it's officially released.
I think one reason they may release it online at the same time as SH2 release is simply that everyone is carrying on them smartphones with HD video recording capability now. There's really no point in keeping it under wraps for 2 or 3 more days when a thousand people are going to get fairly decent quality bootlegs online on Youtube within minutes, it's completely different to bootlegs 4 years ago, not everyone had video on their phone and the ones that did were grainy cheap phone cameras. I remember seeing TDK bootleg trailer which was appalling to watch.

not every studio does that. a lot studios realese the trailer online on wednesday before its realesed in theater on friday. only WB is so stupid. stupid. That argument is always put forward, and it always ends up being wrong. The studios put it up after the weekend is over.

Yes, bootleg quality has gone up significantly over the years as the technology has improved. But there's still a world of difference between bootlegs and the actual official version.
They know this. They also know that some people will go to see a movie, or pick THEIR movie over another, or encourage their group of friends to attend THEIR movie instead of another being considered, because of the desire to see the trailer. Not most, but some - and every dollar counts.
They really lose nothing by waiting till the weekend is over to put the trailer up on-line. They know that.
