And look where all that got ya...reboot city.
I was going to point that out before thread manager attacked. Who knows what's going to happen to Batman after TDKR.Plus, Batman's going to get rebooted eventually too, so your 'it got rebooted' point is invalid.
I was referring to X-Men, but Spider-Man works too. Plus, the MCU is counted as an individual franchise, according to BOM and Wikipedia.

How exactly are you working out ''highest grossing superhero series''?
Wondering the same thing. He's counting two Nolan movies against 5 X-Men movies made by 4 different filmmakers. At least SM1-SM3 were all made by the same guy.
Based on which series so far has made more.
X-Men: $1.8billion
Nolanman: About 1.3/1.4 billion.
TDK will make more in one than and Thor grossed during their entire domestic run. Just sayin'(and I like both movies, especially Cap).
Ah yes, 5 against 2. Very fair. And besides, if you want to go down that route then both and Spider-Man have grossed more than X-Men. Both of them are over $2 billion.

This isn't about 'fairness', this is about facts.
Alright, then what about the MCU? That's counted as one whole franchise.

Not by the whole franchise, by the current series. Nolan's series isn't the highest grossing superhero franchise of all time.
