What Bruce isn't captured in that prison, but he's infiltrated it as part of his research and recovery? I don't know... just a thought.

That is also a possibility. The main thing though is that I think it is there Wayne will learn the truth about Bane, Ra's and maybe Tate. The bit we've seen with Wayne using a cane is just a front, an excuse about where he's been all this time.

I was also interested in the version of the prologue I saw how it seems Bane takes some of Pavels blood before he lets the plane drop?

This is pretty cool:

I'm very curious about what the next scene after the prologue is. Especially since they start playing Dark Knight just before it ends.

Will the go the route of TDK and show Batman in action? Or will they maybe go a more still-some and more emotional way?

After an action packed opening, I would assume an emotional scene, although it is possible they pull a Dark Knight and have the next scene introduce Batman doing some action.

I think it'll be Selina Kyle getting out of prison. Seems like they'll have to get that out of the way early on. Alternatively it could be the Dent anniversary speech or whatever it is Gordon's doing, might be a bit of exposition on how 8 years has past without resorting to titles.

Yeah and the Dark Knight theme makes me think of well The Dark Knight himself, can't see it being a Selina only scene.

I'm going to predict that it's Batman getting chased by the hoard of cop cars on his batpod. They have to introduce Batman in the film pretty quickly, and still set up the situation that batman is in, there's no better scene to do that than this.

Yeah Sharkboy that's a good guess! It would also work to introduce the Batwing. And after the chase we see a worn out/frozen in time Bruce coming back to his new Batcave

Unless he's stopped being Batman. I think some people will never be conviced by that idea though.

from what i understand Bane will destroy a big part of Gotham with the doomsday machine. like the football game. but through the city. we saw that durring winter people are walking around and its a war zone. remember the part where Selina saves a kid.

1. Bruce with a cane is not in winter
2. Bane destroys a big part of Gotham and criminals are running around, i dont think the press and Bruce Wayne would have a party. Bruce is with his lamborghini without snow.

i think Bruce has a cane in the first act. in the second act Bruce is in the prison. i think he gets the cane after the opening action. remember that they filmed Batman running in an alley and then flying out with the batwing? i think there is a small chance that something happens to Batman in the opening action. he is chased by the police. so maybe he hurts his leg. he runs and fly's with the batwing. the next day he has a cane.

I think your on to something. Your right, it doesn't make sense that they would be partying while the city was under siege.

It seemed like a crazy idea at first but I'm pretty sure the now that that scene will be right near the end of the film after the threat has passed. Saving Gotham will cripple him.

Alternatively it's that jump out of the window, like he stupidly forgot he wasn't wearing his cape.

Well he could just retain some injury in the first act. Though he fell several stories at the end of TDK and was kind of limping and worn out then, I don't know if he'd retain that injury after 8 years. So yeah, something could happen to him towards the beginning, thereby getting Alfred to be emotional and such and such.

Although I'm not convinced they will go this way...I don't think it's a good idea to not have Batman show up in the beginning of the film unless it's an origin film, but like I said i don't put it past Nolan to make this mistake.

I also think the Batwing will make it's debut much later in the film, and have it's big moment like the batpod did.

batman being chased by the police wouldnt work in the middle of the movie. its a perfect action scene for the opening after the prologue. i think the movie starts with Batman being chased.

Great point, Bruce is with cane while gotham is still intact, so it can't be after Bane defeats him and presumably jails him (or Bruce is in exile) and it can't be the very beginning if we see Batman in action before winter (which is almost a given) so it must be somewhere through the middle. I'm guessing he's forced to give up the cowl for some time when he's injured, which leads to gordon getting injured by bane and therefore the hospital scene, which leads to him getting absolutely pwned when he slips on the cowl to fight bane (because hes so rusty and unprepared, being bruce wayne for too long)

Yes it is what I believe will be his introduction, whether or not it's directly after the prologue or not...like that overly manly voice: "Meanwhile, where we last saw our hero..."

Why would he have a cane in the first act, though? I mean, there are plenty of explanations I'm sure, but still.

He probably gets injured early in the story, either due to him not being as young as he used to be (remember he's in his late 30s now) or he has an early confrontation with bane that cripples him. We know bruce is imprisoned in the film later on (grey hair) and according to the trailer he's fit enough to walk without a cane and do push ups in his cell, but he also walks with a cane in an undamaged gotham (in front of the press and such). So you can deduct that the cane happens before he is imprisoned and before Bane takes over gotham.
