I have to say I am kind of surprised to see hardy in that "this means war" movie

it looks kinda dumb

please dont tell me you are one of those guys who thinks actors are only working for ''art''?

This means War is a paycheck movie for Hardy. the filming is very fast and doesnt require a lot of complex acting. a lot of money for a simple fast acting job.

what matters to them is an entertaining story and not ''realism''. i think they would like it.

but we dont need ra's in TDKR.

I can't emphasis enough how much it bothers me that most people think TDK is the first entry in this trilogy.

Jonathan Nolan name-dropped Batman Begins in one of his last interviews in the context of seeing TDKR with an audience. Gary Oldman name-drops it all the time. Eventually, it'll filter down to the general audience, even some of the rubberneckers who saw TDK and not BB, if it hasn't started already.

I can't emphasis enough how much it bothers me that most people think TDK is the first entry in this trilogy.

I still know people who've only seen TDK. I think the lack interest in Begins comes down to there not being a recognizable villain.

Weird, I`ve never encountered this phenomenon but I`m a university student so Nolan is considered a God amongst most people I know. (or at least the ones I`ve ever had a conversation about movies with).

I will say it does seem to be people my age and older that haven't bothered with Begins. Maybe it's a generational thing.

There has been a lot of talk about how Bruce is walking with a cane and has been recovering from injuries from TDK. I am thinking that the cane is a way to distance himself from being Batman in the public view (especially when it is getting easier and easier to tell that someone in Wayne Enterprises is probably Batman because of the three tumblers that are on the streets). He may have adopted the cane immediately following the events of TDK to divert suspicion.

The point about him still recovering from injuries caused by TDK probably has to do with the mental "injuries" that come with losing the person that you love.

Just my 2 cents though.

no but i didnt expect him to do a movie that looks that bad. i mean seth rogen refused to be in the movie

I think Rogen had more to be concerned about since commercial comedies is his entire career. It is all he has. Well-regarded, dramatic actors can get away with doing horrible movies because it is how they pay the bills so they can make "art". Their entire careers do not rest on the quality or success of those films. Rogen`s career is based on the fact that he is simply a funny guy in broad comedies. Every bad comedy he does undermines that reputation.

In addition to those who haven't seen BB, there are also those who have seen it but can't remember much about it. I have friends who I know have seen BB but can't remember Ra's.

I know a lot of people who are the same way. However, the reasoning for them being like that seems to be a bandwagon-orientated thing, and having seen and/or being a fan of TDK is the cool thing to do. I'm sure most know the type of people I'm referring to.
