It came out after the prologue too. We've nevere read that before the prologue.

If that's true I'm less inclined to believe it. But the guy said it was originally posted 2 months before the prologue was released.

Haha! If we don't get something soon I'm going to....

Complain even more.

I always was inclined to believe that description.

In the Trailer, Bruce is definitely laying there like he just got the absolute ship kicked out of him - plus he does have a really nice bloody head wound where it appears someone (Bane) could have kicked him. hmmm....

Seems fairly obviously fake to me. The dialogue is too exact to be recalled.

The shot of Bane climbing walking down that hall could be after all that happens, making his way up to the field to blow it up.That's how Bruce gets put in that prison,Bane keeps him there for 8 years...While he destroys Gotham putting it under his rule.

Actually something makes me doubt this. In the trailer when Bane presses the detonator is he not facing the pitch? (field)
The description sounds like he's talking talking to Batman while pressing the detonator.
No no no, it's the detonation from the sizzle reel that looks like it's underground and Bane blinks (not the one from the stadium).

Funny little story about TDKR in my daily life today:

During class this morning, somebody played the Project X trailer on their laptop. A few people started gathering around the screen, because they technically would like that kind of movie (teen mega party)

So then everyone was talking about how there are so many movies coming out this year. So it went to GI Joe, then Battleship, even Spiderman, which funny, but no one was impressed with it and wanted to see Raimi's 4 (LOL xD)

So then everyone went to the 2 big ones. The Avengers and TDKR.
From listening, everyone pretty much liked the Avengers because of The Hulk's appearances at the end.

The TDKR trailer played, and I of course knew every word in my head. So when it gets to the football scene, everyone was shcoked. The played back that scene like 4 times. And they also liked how badass Bane and the glider look. Oh and of course someone tried to mimick the chant. They liked this trailer the most.

Just a funny story of what could be to come come summer time.

I would think the government would of acted in some way with a city being under seige for 8 years.

i was under the impression that all this Bane siege is after 8 years not throughout. Also who says the government wont be involved? Matthew Modine's character seems to have the soldier general look to him with his outfit. Also Daniel Sunjata said his character is part of a special forces unit sent in to aid Batman on capturing Bane!

1. We learned from the November 2011 Empire that Bruce is "frozen in time." This makes me think that the movie picks up 8 years after TDK.

2. A casting call for extras mentioned that the city had been under Bane's control for 3 months.

Hmm, interesting. Seems there's some hope for the general audience wanting to see this movie over summer blockbusters, despite how shy the promotion and a lot of the films choices (such as unknown villains and costume design) have been,

If thats true...then it Sounds like to me its definitely 8 years past TDK. And TDKR Film takes place in a span of 3 months

Hey everyone,

Been a lurker for a little while now, so finally decided to bother signing up! Just a question and some random thoughts.

In the first trailer, do we know who the guy in white is in the corner when Bane moves towards Batman?

Also, how do people think Bane manages to obtain the tumbler he's standing on holding Dent's picture? I've only been able to come up with two suggestions.

1) He either steals them on his own from Wayne Enterprises

2) Or if Miranda Tate is Talia, she's working with Bane and as a board member of W.E. gives him the necessary information to obtain them.

Welcome to the Hype!

He is one of the Bane's men. The lighting makes it seem like he's wearing white, but he's actually wearing the usual clothes that Bane's men wear.

I see what you did there :awesome:

I remember reading a scene description of the Bane/Batman fight that happens under the football field. Bloody brilliant

I was just saying that I don't think Batman gets beat by Bane and then is gone for 8 years while Bane terrorizes the city. I'm in agreement with you that the movie picks up after 8 years have passed. I'm almost wondering if in that 8 years Bruce's being "frozen in time" results in him greatly reducing his batman activities giving the vibe to the public and maybe Gordon that he's gone. Bane starts to cause problems and Bruce being out of the action for so long is unaware of the real threat of Bane. Its not until Gordon is injured that Bruce realizes there is a real threat and goes into action as Batman. But of course he's not in his prime and Bane makes short work of him. What comes after that I don't even have a clue. It looks like from the teaser he "retrains" himself but I would think there would have to be more involved for him to be able to come back to his prime and take on Bane. Guess we'll find out in July.

Hey any word on the next trailer?

Funny you say that about the football scene, my mother had the same reaction.

Remember that time I came back to the boards after the weekend and got all excited that we had some news because of how the thread blew up another 17 pages since I last looked on Friday - then when I investigated further I found it was due to some trolling, a fan made poster, and reposts of a scene description that is months old?

I remember it clearly, because it. just. happened.

:hrt:

General forum tip: In order to escape dissappointment, always check the main page first, because if anything truly huge comes out, it'll be on there.

I usually check photos and news. Photos are sometimes disappointing... I don't care about stickers or bobbleheads. There will be no more set shots. Only promo stills. News is usually insightful, but updates are rare.

I would love it if they made a bobblehead sticker for TDKR. That would be so epic.

A bobblehead sticker of a redshirt for TDKR would be an epic piece of news.

I just saw this and was wondering if anyone has read it...check it out: Batman: The Cult wiki:
Plot
The story follows the machinations of Deacon Blackfire and his band of homeless followers who have kidnapped Batman before the events of this story. Following a lengthy period of captivity Batman slowly succumbs to brainwashing. Batman is eventually freed from the cult but takes a long time to recover from his treatment at their hands. The story also delves into other territory. Gotham City politicians are assassinated by Blackfire's party of followers. An attempt on Commissioner Gordon's life is tried by Blackfire's group, leaving the commissioner in a hospital. Beyond Gotham authorities to protect the city, the National Guard is called in, then the Military and Martial Law is declared on Gotham. The series also features the second Robin, Jason Todd.

It seems as though Nolan may have pulled a little from this story...anyone read it?
