Why is it the natural reply for something to be 'FAKE' cos it's posted online ?

I am aware messageboards are filled with scumbags and trolls but you never know, let's just wait until the third trailer's released.

@kvz5 He's probably involved in a scene taking place in that underground stronghold.

Past experience and some parts that don't make sense, such as the Tumblers on the football field.

I hear you.

Looking at what he's said, it's total lies but it's entertaining. Like the Scottish tabloids. :yay:

I'll always remember in December when the backlash a guy on IMDB got when he said he had the official first trailer.

And he turned out to be correct.

Honestly if people want to be taken seriously...IMDb is the last place you want to do it. Its forums are a magnet for complete idiots and racists and bigots other (IMO) undesirables.

You'd think though that people are smart enough to wait first until it's closer to when the trailer hits before posting fake trailer descriptions. :o

Oh yeah, there's always the off-chance that someone could be legit, even on IMDB :yay:.

However, when certain things don't add up, such as the Tumblers on field and the description apparently quite far away from the trailer's possible release date, then yeah... :oldrazz:

I suppose it is possible, depending on how much post-production work was needed, the third trailer could be completed already and TPTB are just waiting to drop it in May or whatever.

That place really is a cesspool in every sense of the word.

I know right. :funny:

Well...

The trailer description is VERY interesting. If it is fake then this person is very good at guessing at somethings that may happen in the film. The real part that gripped me was the Daniel Sunjunta being promoted and Levitt not being happy about it. This...is on par with some stuff that's been going around.

Also the tumblers weren't on the field to be shot the day of the "Take Control" speech, however there have been no reports of what happened on the second day, aside from the scene being "gratuitous violence and death". So it's possible the Tumblers were used the second day. Unless there's conflicting information.

However most of the description are things we've heard or seen in spy reports/videos/photos. Which makes me doubt it a little more, also I'm not sure why they'd have a third trailer done at this point...I mean unless they were delivering it soon (:cwink:). It's a curious description and personally I wouldn't be disappointed if it turned out to be true, some interesting things were described.

But I can't be the only one who thinks the "I will break you!" line seems more like a fanboy dream than an actual line in the film.

But yeah 95% of that description is stuff we already knew.

Possibly but I'd think they'd wait until more of the film is edited and cleaned up so they could have a better selection of what to include in the trailer.

Who knows?

The best thing about that entire "description" is if they were to use Zack Hemsey's - Redemption for the 3rd trailer.

IMDB's awful for The Dark Knight Rises info however with The Sopranos in 2007 it was genuinley outstanding.

More to do with the posters and that tbf. Was a combination of 10 solid fans who provided so much info in the build up to the last series.

Nolan's films do seem to attract some serious boneheads though on IMDB.

The amount of "OT" subjects.

Now that you mention it, that is interesting. I thought that since we already know that Sunjata is a cop, this could have been made up - but who knows?

Thanks for clearing that up. It would be coll if the Tumblers really went there and cause havoc, but then the field destruction confuses me a bit. Unless the Tumblers arrive after the destruction with Bane and his machine - maybe I'm confusing the set pics.

Yeah, most of it was a good read but the trailer seems to be earlier than expected, if this would be real. I want most of it to be true but I'm cautious.

But I can't be the only one who thinks the "I will break you!" line seems more like a fanboy dream than an actual line in the film.

You're not, it seems like that and this Bane might never say something like that, straight from the comics. I think this Bane will have a calmer voice.

Hi guys,

I’ve been a lurker on here for a few weeks now and definitely enjoying it. A few pages back there was more discussion on the plot and, more specifically, the current economy's impact on TDKR. Here is an interesting article as it relates to the inspiration of some of the aspects of the movie. It is older news but I feel that this is a more accurate representation of the potential plot twists.

http://comicbook.com/blog/2012/01/12/the-dark-knight-rises-based-on-a-tale-of-two-cities-not-occupy-wall-street/

I have not read A Tale of Two Cities, unfortunately. However, looking at the Spark Notes I can definitely imagine some parallels. The book has chapters of self sacrifice, prisons as well as legal/court proceedings (all things that sound very familiar and can potentially give us plot insight if we were to match characters up....)

http://www.sparknotes.com/lit/twocities

I'm posting this more to spark conversation, if anything. The concept of occupy wall street having anything to do with the movie is a bit absurd. Honestly, what the economy is going through today HAS been seen in the past with some similar parallels. The media just makes it seem more prevalent in today's world.

I don't completely agree. I don't think it was an initial inspiration for the film (as it was written before OWS started) but ultimately a lot of what the sets looked like down in NYC were so similar to OWS that it's hard to believe that someone didn't walk up the four blocks to where OWS was camped and took a couple of notes and brought it back down to TDKR.

Also if you get the time before TDKR is released read A Tale of Two Cities

True, I definitely plan on it. OWS is relatable to viewers in today's world and Wall Street symbolizes a lot. It makes sense to film in NYC because of that (and it is the original Gotham). I did see the set down here as well as the other toys since I work close by.

I think Nolan stated that he shot in Wall Street, because of OWS - only the shooting part, though. Not the script, which was written before OWS ever happened. Anyone remember what article this was?

I think that was Modine speculating but, I'm not on top of these interviews, so I could be wrong.

Oh. That could be. I'm not on top of them either - the only things I save are the trailers and the official pics.

The tumblers were not used at the stadium shoot. They were only there for the fans/extras as a treat.

In 2008, the U.S. (and other) stock markets went into the gutter and there was anger at the bailouts of corporations. I'd figured they'd rope it all into the plotline of the depression from Batman Begins, full circle, etc.

Were you there the second day?

No, but I meant they were not used on the field. The second day, from all that I know, was more so interior shots/close ups. If the tumblers were used, then it was outside of the stadium. I have heard nothing of them being used at that shoot in any capacity though.
