Also, where the hell was Aunt May during the entire second act of TASM?

I remember her uttering some line about "Secrets" and then we literally don't see her again for what I'm gonna guess is 45 minutes.

And even when we finally get to see her after all that time, it's just a reaction shot to what's happening on the news.

Wth? :funny:

By the way

oh_hai_gif.gif

Someones gotta pay the bills :o

It's just another plothole that got lost and then they squeezed it in like "Oh hey remember he still has an aunt "

Good to see you Shark? How is my long lost friend from Bolivia? :hrt:

I can't wait until I can return to the Hype in full force. At the moment I'm unable to do so. :( But I come here whenever I get the chance.

:funny: yeah and also "Oh by the way, Ifans just so happens to speak in the same voice for both the Lizard and Connors personas." :cmad:

/Nitpick

My bf is actually getting annoyed HOW much I critsize TASM but it really annoys me when you get the chance of a reboot and you make some silly mistakes :D

Another thing about Webb's universe of film making: it feels old fashioned and attention to detail between characters something much like The Graduate. It makes me wish Dustin Hoffman was Uncle Ben and that they need to shove Robert Redford into TASM sequel somehow. :O

Goodbye, Bolivia. Hello to Australia.

I'm good, just thought i'd join in all the TASM talk, especially when it concerns Emma's Gwen as she and Andrew saved the whole thing for me, because it's been 2 weeks and i can't remember much of the film except those two. They did well in the casting at least.

Gwen's eventual death is going to be hard to stomach. REAL hard, especially if they manage to keep the chemistry going rather than let it falter like it did with Tobey and Kirsten.

Wait you mean the moment in the train with peter and the passengers...or the actual train fight.

Because the train fight still remains as one of the best CBM sequences ever, regardless of how soppy the following part is.

No, I liked the fight, it was great. I just didn't like the stupid passengers scene. "You won't touch Spidey, I ain't afraid of you with your lethal arms"

Haha that would've been pretty great.

Uncle Ben: Peter I just have one thing to say to you. Just one thing.

Peter: "With great power comes great responsibility"?

Uncle Ben: No. . .plastics.

I agree, the best thing was def the chemistry between those two in TASM. I just fear that with them being a reallife-couple they could split up and it could harm the next movies.

Precisely!!! I want to shed tears for her death; something of that tragedy moves a story so well, that many film makers seemto forget today. I felt it stood strong as a film however, no saving needed. :yay:

To KINDA defend it, he was obviously scared s**tless. I liked that he wasn't smug, like the NYers in the SM1 scene.

You are now loved. :hrt:

I thought I'd hate that, but I didn't. They obviously focused more on Ben (a very wise choice, finally) and they''' probably deal with May in TASM2. I like it.

It stood fine as a film, it's expectations were and are too high, but that is something you can't fault...with films like Avengers or TDKR, you come to expect something with CBM's especially if he's one of the big 3 superheroes in the world. Any other year i would have been more invested in it.

I hated the Lizard talking. I hated the dual personality throwaway scene. 100% unnecessary and hurt the movie in that it brought up GG comparisons right away.

I can't remember, but was there even a reaction from Aunt May regarding Ben's death?

Wow this time next week...I'd have seen TDKR.

I'll call it the Underdog of 2012.
