See, now this is why I'm glad that JL will be out by next winter since it'll finally put some resolution to this.

Regardless of how it was done, there will be those that likes the final shot of the film and those that won't.

I just hope that JL is Superman's first film where he doesn't suffer major tragedy.

I'm not concerned with the ambiguity of the ending. It gives them flexibility. Perhaps they'll dwell on Supes being gone and have him away for awhile, or perhaps he popped out right after the screen went black and JL starts with him having returned already. With this ending they can go either way, depending on what story they want for JL. That flexibility probably factored into why they chose to go death of superman in the first place.

Agreed

True,

Though I'm hoping that with the way that they presented it, the film will at least give the impression to the General Audiences (the ones that aren't aware about the JL film that's coming out next year) that Superman may not be as dead as people in the film are believing.

And just for Karma's sake, and for my friend's shipper sanity, I hope Snyder and Terrio don't pull out an "SR" like scenario where Amy's Lois moves on with another guy during Superman's absence to create some kind of unnecessary love triangle when he comes back.

Nah, there won't be a love triangle. Ma gives her an engagement ring. They're headed for a wedding.

The SR thing, Lois had just had a one time fling and barely knew Supes. This Lois has had a relationship of a couple years, living with him, sharing a life together. She won't move on that quickly. SR Lois also thought Supes was just gone, that he'd ditched her. This Lois is grieving her lover's death.

So it won't be the same. I'd eat my easter bonnet if it was.

Personally, I'm hoping that the relationship between Lois and Clark/Superman in the DCEU is handled well..from now till the near future, and I hope their reunion in JL really lives up to its potential.

Even though their relationship wasn't really written well in "Thor", I thought the chemistry between Chris and Nat was good and I was actually hoping to see their reunion in the next film but it fell so short.

I hope that's not the same with Lois and Superman's reunion.

Wait a minute, is there something special about Doomsday's horns that kills Superman? If there are no properties of Kryptonite, then he should be able to barely have a scratch.

Supes has the kryptonite spear

I swear someone said that he barely changes from what we've seen. I think he may only grow the spike where WW cuts his arm off.
Strange.
I guess that's something though.heh

Wasn't there a leaked picture?

I just hope that Doomsday is presented in a way where it's made obvious that only Superman was capable of killing him and that he didn't needlessly sacrifice his life for nothing. I don't want to get the impression that Batman or Wonder Woman could have killed Doomsday if they had more time to plan things out.

One thing that's bugging me is why the subtitle?

Doesn't seem like the movie has much to do with the Dawn of the Justice League...

Except that superman, batman, and wonder woman join forces for the first time...

......

Apparently it ends with Bruce and Diana, inspired by Supes, with Bruce wanting to seek out the other metahumans he discovered on a hard drive. So yeah, it's dawn of the Justice League. They're yet to be formed, but the idea is there.

Yay, spoilers!!!

I've been looking for Lois spoilers and don't see a whole lot though.

Is there anyone on here who has seen the movie and can answer a few questions?

Does Lois find out Batman's true identity?

Does she infilitrate LexCorp?

Why does Lex kidnap her?

And what is her Africa trip about? How do the bullets tie into the Lex plot?

After reading so many "spoiler synopsis" with differing details, I'm so confused LOL.

I am just so excited she's investigating and she and Clark are a solid couple!

I soooo hope you are right, Rapunzel! It'd tick me off if they went the SR route, for a Lois and Clark who are already together, in love, and almost engaged!!

I'll say it again: perfect frame for WW's period era story-- set it right after BvS, with WW telling Lois about her own sad love story with Trevor. Then, Supes returns at the very end, reunites with Lois and it's a triumphant transition to JL. Book, WB.

That would be awesome.

And quite frankly, it would be REALLY nice to have a friendship built between Lois and Diana. Even more seeing how beautiful and cute Amy and Gal looked together at the premieres!

Do they even have any scenes together? I can't remember if Amy said.

As much as I'd love that to be one option, I doubt that they'd go there simply because we would have heard about Amy being in WW as well by now.

Though I wish they could go about resolving Superman's death in the way that the X-Men universe did with Professor Xavier's. Just have him reintroduced in a post-credit scene in a film prior to the JL like how they did with Professor X (aka the Wolverine before Days of Future Past)

They could set it up like they did with Bruce and Tony in the end of "Ironman 3." And it turns out the person that Diana is narrating to and comforting, was Lois all along, with Amy in an unannounced tag scene...

One of the leaked summaries from last year had me warmed up to a solo WW action sequence (where she busts into Cadmus labs). A mysterious hero investigating a mysterious plot, to go along with her mysterious alter-ego.

Apparently she just parties and steals Batman's data files? Hmm. I'll see how it plays out. Fingers crossed the Doomsday fight alone is enough and more.

2012 (The Dark Knight Rises): Alfred sobs over the Wayne Family's graves and states that he failed Thomas and Martha Wayne for not protecting Bruce.

2016 (Batman v Superman):
Bruce sulks over Clark's grave and states to Diana on how he failed Superman.
