Honestly don't have an issue with machine gunning goons down, as we've seen that in the Burton and Nolan flicks. But yeah, the neck stab is something else. Wow.

Pretty sure it was a stab to the upper left chest/shoulder area. Was not in the neck lol

The killing aspect of this Batman is not like modern comic book Batman but could still be great for the character in this film universe and point of his life.

Everything else is at least faithful and so that's something.

He didn't hit anyone with the gun fire when he was disarming the guy, everyone ducked. And he didn't stab the guy in the neck, it was the shoulder and pinned him to the wall. The guy was still a live and even turned his head to look at Batman beating up the others in the very next shot.

I don't see Batfleck's seeming willingness to kill every villain that gets in his way as being a deliberate character trait. I see it more as carelessness by Snyder in the name of good-looking action scenes.

I'm pretty afraid, a friend of mine whose opinion I respect very much tells me that the movie left a sense of void in him. It didn't gave him what he wanted and the relationship between Batman and Superman is not explored at all. But maybe that's because of his preconceptions on the movie. He's more of a World's Finest team-up guy than a Batman vs Superman rivalry type of guy.

Batman fans had a Batman movie where there was about two or three scenes in the Batman costume before the finale.

I'm so sick of hyperbolic whinging from Superman fans.

You mean Superman just stops an exploding rocket, saves a stranded ship, saves Lois from African terrorists, saves people from a natural disaster, does some act of heroism at the Day of the Dead thing and saves the world from Doomsday?! URGH, SNYDER!

As opposed to Batman who...beats up some thugs...beats up some thugs again...chases a truck...steals from Lex Luthor...beats up some thugs again...beats up Superman...and distracts Doomsday.

Batman gets to do everything!

I'm not seeing the movie!

When I say the World's Finest relationship isn't coming back, I mean more along the lines of them being chummy. I don't think that kind of relationship is coming back.

Batman is indeed closer to Superman than he is to any other non-Bat Family member, but they're not sipping on coffee in the Batcave talking about good times like in the old days.

As far as what I've heard about BvS, Batman may have a new outlook on Superman, but nothing I've heard suggests they'll be close when Superman returns (no pun intended, folks, I swear).

Well, having a new outlook in him could be the start of that frienship. That and Batman saving Superman's mom.

Yes, yes, something to the degree of "I failed him in life, but I will not fail him in death" from Bruce, and I don't believe the smoke canister had Kryptonite in it.

I wish Cavill had dialogue in the court scene.
Missed opportunity.
HOWEVER

Overall, Cavill had better dialogue and more to do in this film. His scenes with Lois were quite well done - especially the bath tub scene.

Yeah not a fan of Batman killing at all,the no kill rule is a defining aspect of the character. Sure it's been violated by Nolan and Burton but neither of them tried to sell their versions as being as close to the source material as possible to even begin with. No posting scans from the 40's isn't going to change anything either,the 40's comics are not going to erase all the decades of material people have digested.
I can live with it but it's going to create controversy and rather unnecessary controversy that may end up hurting the movie,it could have been avoided. We all want this movie to do well but there's a difference between taking a risk and poking a sleeping Lion in the eye. More importantly Batman killing doesn't seem like an actual issue or plot point,just something driven to make action scenes look cooler which circles back to criticism against Snyder over his fondness for flair over substance.
It's unlikely Batman killing will ever be addressed in a potential solo movie(that would have been gutsy),we know that the likes of Croc,Joker,Harley,Deadshot are alive. It'll just be overlooked as "Snyder action porn",you can bet on it so it's not gutsy in the slightest. Still looking forward to the movie though.

Did Batman fight someone impressive? excluding Superman ofcourse.

How does Batman use kryptonite against Superman? Judging by Superman's face in the trailer he is unaware he is under the effects of kryptonite when Batman blocks the punch?

Shoots a grenade at him that explodes in a green cloud of kryptonite. Supes seems almost nauseated by it and also in some pain. He gathers himself and throws the punch without knowing that he's been severely weakened.
