To anyone that has seen the film. Is the rumor true that In the Batcave we see some old Batman costumes on display and a Keaton-esque black Batman costume with yellow oval can be seen?

only other costume i saw was robin's, as seen in the trailer.

i may have missed things tho.

Also, since Superman meets his demise while sacrificing himself to defeat Doomsday, do they explain or reveal that Clark Kent was also killed during the assault somehow? Or does it come out to the public that Clark Kent is Superman?

It happens really quick but I think they mention Clark passed away in the doomsday battle in the newspaper

clark kent's obituary is shown in the newspaper. says he dies as a reporter while covering the superman / batman / doomsday ordeal.

Didn't notice anything. The movie moves fast so a second viewing might reveal more Easter eggs

so how are they going to explain when Clark magically comes back to life??

Heh... Bizzaro.... wouldn't it be funny if they showed you something that would look like him in the movie..... oh wait.......

:D

Don't you tease me like that :wall:

But seriously, if they show that will just make me think they wasted Doomsday even more.

Well the AI on the ship does tell Lex that the "deformed abomination" was banned on krypton by the council. But he does it anyway because he's lex. So it's not technically the original doomsday ...maybe. Also I have no idea what happens to doomsday body but I assume the government will retrieve it just like they did with zod. Also the ship teaches him about hundreds(maybe thousands) of worlds that krypton has knowledge of. He tells it "teach me" and then at the end he hints at something big coming to earth. I'm assuming he's learned something big from the krypton knowledge on that ship regarding Darkseid.

I just hope then he isn't the original Doomsday, but even then, once they use the character again it will feel diminished now, I really feel like they have wasted him.

That's my question as well LOL.

Its been so long since I read the death and return of Superman I cant even remember how they treated it either.

maybe they'll claim they never found Clark's body so they just presumed he's dead or something?

Well, at least he kills Superman. So he does have hia moment.

Hi friends, have a few questions;

1) I'm a big Superman fan, just want to know overall how weak did the movie make him look in the fight?

2) Could you describe how the fight ends please, is it a battered and bloody Clark lying on the ground, barely able to speak with batman standing over him with the kryptonite spear ready to stab at point blank range, then suddenly Lois stops it?

3) If the nightmare future is caused by Martha Kent dying and in turn Superman goes bad, wouldn't it make sense for Batman to actually stab and kill Superman with the spear? After all even if Martha dies, Superman himself has just been killed by Batman so he cannot turn bad and cause the future apocalyptic scenario.
Unless the nightmare is suggesting if Batman ignores Superman's words about Martha and goes for the kill anyway, Superman survives the kryptonite spear/ or batman misses with it, no one saves Martha in time and causes Superman to go injustice mode and brings about the apocalyptic future?

I honestly don't think we even need Clark Kent anymore. He comes home to his mother as Supes and Lois knows who he is...so does Lex...Clark Kent really isn't a needed Character at this point.

I haven't seen it yet, but everyone seems to think that the abomination that was forbidden on Krypton means that there was a previous Doomsday. Is this merited, from other clues? Or could it just as easily be interpreted as "We have the science and technology for it, but it is banned," so that it is more like a project that was shelved?

Can't even respond or take you seriously with that as your first post.

Well, at least he kills Superman. So he does have hia moment.

It sounds much less epic and poignant than in the comics though. There Doomsday took on the whole Justice League and wipe the floor with them. Suoerman made the ultimate sacrifice to stop him because no one else could, yet still died in the act. But he did it on his own despite already taking a huge beating himself.

I just feel they have wasted that moment, and in that case wasted Doomsday. As if he returns now he won't have that fear factor. Even Superman suffered PTSD facing him a 2nd time because of the beating he and the rest of the JL took. The chance to utilise all of that is gone now. And that's what is a waste.

I am a big fan of Snyder, and have defended him to the hilt on here. But he chose wrongly in this instance.

Again I don't think it ruin the movie. But I think the use of the character as he is In the movie is a big waste.

I sure hope this isn't the route they are going. Evil Supes is getting annoying.

so....wait.....does that mean that Perry and the rest of the DP know that Clark is Superman?

Did Bruce and Diana hear a heartbeat or see the dirt rising at Clark's funeral?

That I just don't agree with. I'm ok with all the other changes, but not this. Oh well.
