It was super jarring for me. Hurts the movie, imo, although I'm sure it's a nice geekout moment for hardcore fans.

Thor goes to a magic pond jarring or The dream sequences in AoU jarring?

I guess I can contribute a little to this thread now that I have seen it.

- I too thought the Knightmare seen was a little jarring. I remember turning to my friend and saying: "What the heck just happened?" I don't think it hurt the movie though...

- Did anyone else notice Luthor's prisoner number on his orange jumpsuit?

It was TK-421. Apparently a little homage by Snyder to Star Wars (That was in the Death Star scene in A New Hope when the Imperial officer is asking "TK-421, why aren't you at your post?")

Really? Not so much for me. I just took is as another nightmare Bruce was having or something.

I think if you can accept that there's an overarching story for these films and that they will have things that look ahead, then it isn't jarring. If the more episodic nature doesn't work for you, then yeah, I can see it being an issue.

I enjoyed it personally. It was weird as hell, but that made it pretty exciting.

Even more jarring than the magic pond. Came out of nowhere and is related to something that's not even part of this movie. Would have been better as an end credits scene.

Question for those that have seen it, I looked the thread over, but didn't see this ask, my apologies if it has.

Is there a Joker mention/flashback at all?

Thanks ;)

I'm thinking no more Clark when Supes returns....I suspect Lois might even quit the DP and work as an information gatherer for the JL, so as to give the JL more females and simplify her role in the future films.

Wait, are you really saying it just happens like out of nowhere.

But if Flash is warning Bruce to save Martha, isn't it necessary? I suspect that is the intent and editing/cutting made it unclear...hopefully the extended edition will add more explanation to solidify why it's there and what it means.

We already know why it's there and what it means pretty much. Not too hard to really figure out when you think about it.

Real curious to see where they take the Clark Kent character. Can't be the end of him!

1) Could anyone describe how the fight ends please, is it a battered and bloody Clark lying on the ground, barely able to speak with batman standing over him with the kryptonite spear ready to stab at point blank range, then suddenly Lois stops it?

2) Also, If the nightmare future is caused by Martha Kent dying and in turn Superman goes bad, wouldn't it make sense for Batman to actually stab and kill Superman with the spear? After all even if Martha dies, Superman himself has just been killed by Batman so he cannot turn bad and cause the future apocalyptic scenario.
Unless the nightmare is suggesting if Batman ignores Superman's words about Martha and goes for the kill anyway, Superman survives the kryptonite spear/ or batman misses with it, no one saves Martha in time and causes Superman to go injustice mode and brings about the apocalyptic future?

In case anyone was wondering, I got the "Art of" book and it does reveal that Callan Mulvey is KGBeast.

1) yes, but Superman pleading to save Martha is what makes Batman hesitate long enough for Lois to get to batman and explain the situation

Wait, are you really saying it just happens like out of nowhere.

As an average viewer, it just looks like a weird part of an already weird dream. As a nerd, you'll know there's deeper meaning.

2) I think your right, batman would have 'killed' superman only for him to reassurect, and go all injustice/team up with Darksied because Martha died. Meanwhile batman leads a resistance in the future, and flash is able to give a vision to past batman warning him about the future.

does anyone have more information on batman killing in the movie ? if it was meant that way ?

That's what makes it confusing. It wasn't about Martha...or I don't even know tbh. The JL setup hurt this movie.

Questions: For those that watched the film, did Mercy have any meaningful screentime at all? Was she someone who stood out? Is there any focus on the fact that Lex lets her die as part of his plan, or is that just something the viewer realizes on his/her own?

Also, how's the chemistry between the members of the trinity(Bruce/Clark, Bruce/Diana, Clark/Diana)?
