Batman murders the crap out some thugs in the movie.

That's how I am seeing it too while watching the movie, I wasn't thinking oh that guy will probably live, it's the car, not the person. I was just watching and thinking oh that guy is dead, Batman kills in this movie. But then again, I don't really have any issue with Batman killing, not a Batman comic reader btw, and I think the general audience wouldn't mind as well.

What I think is the most boggling thing about this movie is that there was never any real reason for these two to fight at all. It effectively comes down to a misunderstanding both sides could have easily diffused. The only reason they fight is because of the title, not because it's warranted.

What pissed me off: they gave Superman a lot of reasons to be angry at Batman, only to throw it out the window in the end.

You know something I really didn't like? Superman is trying reason with Batman, telling him it's all Luthor's fault and then suddenly decides to just push Batman away. Why?

Because.....movie!

I don't think he liked being blasted by sound waves lol. It was a "WTH" reaction.

I think CNN was reporting that it was a suicide bomber or a terrorist attack right? Can't remember too well. Besides, why would Superman use a bomb. But then again, Superman could've easily come out of the building and say something instead of leaving and hiding.

Superman: "It wasn't me!! It was the cripple in the wheelchair who did it!!"

The PC/SJW police come to arrest Superman.

Superman: "Da** it!! I can't win!!"

The Foul Language police come to arrest Superman.

Superman: ":csad:"

Crushing people with the Batmobile

Nolan version was supposed to be someone who had the 'one rule' - it was one of the major through-lines of the saga.

The tumbler crushed lots of people in its day as well. I recall people having this same conversation.

There are thousands of war heroes that have survived explosions and Firefighters that have survived explosion fires. Wishful thinking I think not. But again those scenes are debatable scenes where it could go either way. Just like in the Killing Joke story where ppl say that Batman didn't kill the joker but the writer of the book says that he did.

And I think the clown thug in Batman Returns survived Batman putting the bomb on him.

This is ridiculous. You're defending the indefensible and I think you haven't seen the movie or have otherwise chosen to cloud your own judgment.

These men died. They are not mentioned again because they did.

One was pushed through like three concrete walls. The other exploded in a fireball that came from his back. They're dead.

Make it DC and Marvel Crossover, and Captain America can come in.

Ca: "LANGUAGE!"

This is borrowed from a Devin Faraci article (I know) but he raised some of the same questions I had upon leaving the theater. Can someone help with some of these?

Why does anyone think Superman shot a whole bunch of people in Africa?

Best I could say is that no one knew the men died from bullets or it was covered up. General Swanwick was told by Lois.

Why does Superman stop Batman in the middle of clearly chasing bad guys and let the bad guys get away?

Superman was after Batman, he felt he needed to be stopped over the criminals.

Why does Superman fight Batman if he doesn’t want to fight Batman?

He was trying to calm him down. Then he was hit with the Kryptonite.

Why does Lois Lane go back for the spear?

Because she's the one that knows where it was.

I loved Man Of Steel, but this was downright garbage. Batman was the punisher in this. Had to have killed at least 10 people. Once he killed his first person I was automatically taken out of the movie. Just shut down this DC universe. I've lost all faith in comic movies. Not a marvel fan and don't watch their movies since avengers, but with DC failing me. I'm done forever. This sucked. Smh Affleck calls himself a batman fan. This movie was crap.

Same here. Loved MoS and thought the Zod neck snap was appropriate. But MurderFleck has poisoned the whole thing for me...

Bullcrap.

He destroys the sound machines and immediately goes back to trying to reason with Batman until they're face to face and then Superman just pushes him away.

Either it was cut or I don't know. Didn't get the moment for sure.
Because she's the one that knows where it was.
I don't remember, but how did she get she needed the spear?

Because she's the one that knows where it was.

Yeah but then why not go after the criminals after saying "The Bat is Dead?"

Yeah but then why not just immediately say "I NEED YOUR HELP BATMAN!" Why engage and walk up to him like a frat boy ready to throw down?

No but why does she go get the spear? How does she know they need it?

I did see the movie :) And please don't get mad for what I am saying. Have an open mind in this issue that's all. Remember this is a movie and fictional characters. There have been multiple interpretations of them threw the years and this movie is one of them. Be glad that Zack and Chris are taking this beloved characters and bringing them into a very serious and real world scenario. We really don't know 100% that they are dead and if they are well then they are and it's their fault. Like the guy that threw the granade at Batman, that was not his fault, he just deflected the granade back :cwink: and if the guy died well who's fault was it.

But she didn't know Doomsday was Kryptonian nor that he was weak to Kryptonite.

The Trinity talked about him being kryptonian. It's been known that Lois is highly intelligent with the ability to put things together. It makes all the sense in the world. She wanted to help or she could have been a damsel and asked Batman to go retrieve it.

Did anyone else love the end of the BvS fight as much as I did?

Definitely my favourite bit of the film. They took something really small but heartfelt (the fact both their moms have the same name) and used it to bring the characters back from the brink. I was really really satisfied with that.

Actually one of the things I found irritating about Nolan's films was the way he ignored Martha for the most part and focused mainly on Bruce's feelings about his dad. It was nice to feel that it was actually the thought of his mom, that stopped him from going fully dark

indeed.
because to superman, it was him that brought in the bomb. if he didn't show up or if he is alert enough he should have seen it.

so sad... he thought it was the rage, the hate of him.. he didn't know it was lex.

Bullcrap.

He destroys the sound machines and immediately goes back to trying to reason with Batman until they're face to face and then Superman just pushes him away.

Batman walks up to him all cocky-like and Superman thinks he's intent to try something else. It's clear Batman isn't listening to him at that point, in any case. He's having way too much fun setting off all his traps.

The Knightmare sequence and Flash cameo explicitly point out Batman's fears were warranted. Regardless of the resolution in this film, it would be short-sighted to say everything's going to be A-OK between them. I don't think they're remotely done with Superman potentially being an actual threat.

He was trying to calm him down. Then he was hit with the Kryptonite.

At that point he was already fighting Batman, trying to beat him into submission. You don't smash a human through an entire apartment building if you're just trying to calm someone, and even if he did think Batman would survive (which was a bit impressive) he at that point had no reason to think Batman was any more dangerous to him than an ant.

From how the scene was set up it actually looked like Superman could easily have avoided the fight. Either by trying to talk to him more, instead of quitting so easily and eventually beat the crap out of him, or to just restrain Batman so he's forced to listen.
