Great write up - beginning to think I was the only one who liked the film! :woot:
Everything you said is spot on, and personally I can't believe people have not seen or understood these things for themselves - I guess people just prefer dumbed down movies these days! :whatever:

Don't worry man, there are a few of us who like the film.

How long has Lex known that Batman is Bruce Wayne? The film never addresses this, yet it's clear that he does. And how did he know that Batman hates Superman?

Like most things in this movie, one can only answer as Zack Snyder:

"Because it's just awesome and Lex is a really cool guy who does awesome things and knows a lot of cool things so we thought it would just be awesome if he knew who this really cool Batman was".

Wow, now people are making fun of the way Zack Snyder talks?

I just feel that because of the security in the senate hearing and the metal detectors and searches etc. everyone had been through. Superman would have no reason to pick it up... the bomb was never shown, but it was in the chair Luthor give Wally, so you can bet it was state-of-the-art and probably didn't make a sound until milliseconds before detination.
I disagree. I feel it's completely within the realm of the character that his powers would detect it without question, to the point where I'm disappointed he didn't an feel like it's a gross mischaracterization.

Yes that's all cool. And that's why I feel he should of detected the bomb in the courtroom whether he was consciously looking for it or not. He's been superman for two years now. His super senses should be well trained and aware of the unique mechanics and scents which compose a bomb. There's no reason why he shouldn't of picked that up and saved the people in the courtroom whether he was consciously looking for it or not.

His SuperBombSensing power?

His SuperBombSensing power?

Lemme ask you something which no one whose taken issue with me has answered: if supermans super senses had detected the bomb and he saved everyone, would you be here criticizing it?

I don't think he's a pro yet.

Most likely, we are going to sequences of WW and Batman training him (both of them are far more experienced than him; so they could definitely help to train).

And I really hope he isn't using X-ray vision all the time...you don't want him to dose people with radiation, now do you? :oldrazz:

(Although the dose would be pretty small).

Now, even if he was a pro (which he clearly isn't in the movie), don't you think Lex would have made sure that the bomb was well hidden?

Find it funny that Superman died on Easter weekend.

Thinking about this more and more it really hits home to me that this story about someone hating Superman for what happened in MoS needed to be about Lex Luthor not Batman. If Lex Luthor is the one obsessed with bringing down Superman then this movie plays out a lot better in my mind, but it would mean getting rid of both Batman and Wonder Woman.
MoS2 before Batman was added.

Well he stole Kryptonite.

But he had been sending Bruce those letters for a long time, presumably before he stole the Kryptonite.

And Batman stealing Lex's Kryptonite doesn't really explain how he'd know that he's Bruce Wayne.

I just saw the cameos scene on YT. The file logos had to be 4th wall/on the nose breaking. Way too convenient.

I really loved that shot of Momoa though.

Took my son to see it. I understand all the concerns and the pace in the middle. But, the more I take it in. The more I enjoyed it.

A few things..

-I do wish they didn't show an open casket at Clark's funeral and to say that he is missing.

-My son and I watch the "The Flash" tv show. So when they showed the Flash. My son looked over and asked who it was. He was like when did they make Cisco Ramone the Flash. :)

-Best portrayal of Batman on the screen. Only Kevin Conroy is better. Everything from Alfred, to his gadgets and his fight style was on point. The warehouse fight was great.

-Yes....things were rushed or crammed in. But, I am going with this is a setup movie for all things coming up. As a comic fan I was so excited to see the Trinity on the big screen.

-From what I have been hearing the extended cut will clear up some issues. So I look forward to that.

Did you not get the point I was making? Just from the way he phrased it, I went the sarcastic route. I was suggesting that if reviewers liked this Batman, chances are it's because they think this Batman acts the way he should be (mostly). By the way, Batman has many different interpretations and I am sure you know that.

On your second point, people have different opinions, if the reviewers thought the movie was bad then I won't challenge that. I never challenged that. My opinion is different from theirs. I actually read and watch some of these reviewers who I think are honest even if they thought the movie was bad. I am watching them right now and acknowledge the faults they think are in the movie. I agree with some of them and I disagree with others.

I have not received any point of your manufacturing. Maybe the deliveryman has gotten lost. /Drax

The poster you quoted wrote about the characters "acting like themselves", and the critics liking the portrayal of Batman doesn't really seem to have anything to do whether he acts like his comic book self as many critics won't be comic book people. Most of the nerdy critics I've seen have pointed out quite clearly that they react to the "murderous Batman".

I just brought up the critics stance on the movie as clarification of why I think using them was an odd measuring stick.

So is Flash's warning about Lois to be explored in Justice League?

Why are people not able to accept that Lex Luthor gave these four metahumans codenames during his research.

He may have been able to find out Diana Prince's name or even Barry Allen's -- he definitely knew Victor Stone's name. But there's no way he knew Arthur Curry's name. So why is it not plausible that Lex Luthor wouldn't be like, "This guy lives in water and swims with almost a sonic boom ... Aquaman."

"This girl is mysterious and there are the rumors and stories of her from World War I. Her powers are wondrous. Code name: Wonder Woman."

"This guy is literally turned into a Cyborg."

"Wow. That guy just broke up the robbery in a flash!"

This is an organic way, actually, to give them all their Justice League codenames and have Bruce refer to them by that since those files are now his files.
