The Walking Dead The Walking Dead Season 3 Episode 14 "Prey" Discussion Thread

I actually think Morrissey's subdued portrayal of The Governor makes him far more tension-inducing than if he was just straight-up bat**** crazy like the comics.

That would get old after a while on TV.

At the end of the day, The Governor and Negan are pretty similarly portrayed. Giving The Governor a certain level of elegance saves them from repeating themselves when they eventually get around to a scumbag like Negan.

lol get real. They shared some cigarettes. They're hardly BFFs. They're like... potential lovers in the zombie apocalypse.

They wouldn't put an end to this conflict.
fixed. :p

There a new pairing has been made, let the fanfics come. :o

I do worry about next season feeling like a downgrade after all The Governor tension/drama this season.

I was exaggerating. However, considering Andrea was sitting outside the summit while dignitaries from the prison and Woodbury mingled peacefully, I don't think I would have given a second thought about Martinez taking over for the Governor, a guy who's going to kill them all anyway. So what is Milton's point, and why is Andrea buying it?

It won't be much of a problem if they can get their character writing up to snuff. The major reason why that hasn't been much of a deterrent this season is because the story has been so full of action. The show is at its best when it's moving quickly and often without much dialogue. That's what sunk the majority season 2. The problem is that they can't rely on that forever. Eventually the tension and action beats they have to work with will run thin and they won't have much to work with because the majority of the characters are so thin.

Opinions are great.

So what will happen to Andrea?

a) Rape
b) Lobotomized and turned into living sex doll
c) Tortured as punishment for running away
d) Written off the show
e) all of the above

I can't believe they put Todd on The Talking Dead. Him and the Middle Easten dude were the worst choices possible. Mainly Todd

Laurie screwed up on Talking Dead by pretty much confirming that it was Milton who set the fires...I bet the powers that be are pretty pissed at her after all that work in the episode to make it so ambiguous.

ambiguous lol it was as subtle as a Micheal Bay film that Milton did it

WTH! Andrea makes it all the way to the prison, only to get caught before anyone sees her?

Does Tyreese play Lee in TWD video game? The voice sounds very familiar

There was nothing ambiguous about it. The show pretty much confirmed it itself. It was more than obvious and you'd have to have missed the final scene to not get that

I have to say it seemed rather obvious it was Milton. Especially when the Governor brings it up.

Kudos to Milton then cause it seemed out of character for him to have enough balls to pull that off, to take a truck and sneak out alone at night, then pretty much let the gov know it was him, he must be ready to die at this point, clearly his dream of Woodbury has been totally destroyed by now, [BLACKOUT]he may be the supposed suicide that is said to happen this season [/BLACKOUT]

Since she seems to have just taken the Michone role from the comics, I'm guessing A and C.

Anyone else spot the speculum on the Governor's table? He's planning on being very brutal! The prop guy on Talking Dead didn't even mention that tool.

I'm pretty sure when Martinez tells the Governor about the pit fire the Governor either asks him who he has told or who else knows and he said no one. Then when Milton brought it up, he knew it was Milton because how else would he know.

I dunno, seems to me they swapped her for Michonne. It's going to get ugly but maybe the end result as far as the Governor's fate will be the same.

The ending made it obvious that it was Milton.

Yeah, and I'm pretty sure the sleeve of his walker-proof jacket or whatever it is that he's worn in a few episodes was visible when he was pouring the gas on the walkers.

Last night's episode was freaky...I was half-expecting Michael Myers to turn up in that warehouse at any second. :wow:

The Gov did a good imitation of a B movie monster by getting out of the zombie zerg and magically appears ahead of Andrea.

Will Andrea suffer for the pleasure of the haters ..???

The episode could've been much better if it had avoided some clichés. When Andrea got near the prison, I knew the Governor was going to be there, typical cliché of the bad guy getting his prey after apparently being left behind. Then, when the Governor returned to Woodbury, it was more than obvious he was hiding Andrea, so that long last shot was... duh!! :whatever:

Lets hope what happens next is not as predictable, like her being saved by Rick and company, or her killing the Governor... Have her become a walker, she deserves it afterall!! :hehe:

Wouldn't it be a horrible surprise if the next time we see Andrea...she's still alive but missing a limb, fingers and an eye...

And how would you have done it?
