The Walking Dead The Walking Dead Season 4 Episode 14 "The Grove" Discussion Thread

I'm glad that they killed Lizzie at the end. That made watching this episode worth it. But how dumb were Carol and Tyreese to leave those kids alone? 3 times they left them alone in this episode.

If she had common sense she would have never wanted to be left alone with that one

I don't think any of the characters had the benefit of seeing and knowing what the viewers did to know this was coming.

Can someone give me a quick run down of what happened this episode? I randomly fell asleep before the show started and woke up right at the part where Carol shot Lizzie. So I am trying to figure out what the heck happened ha.

Carol's had the greatest evolution over the course of this show BY FAR. If you believe otherwise, you're drunk and you need to go fall down some stairs. :o

So what happened that make it nesscary for the two girls to get killed? Did Lizzie kill Judith?

The acting by the kids was pretty darn bad...but the arc for Carol made the episode worth it. The good thing about these slow episodes is that we get to learn about the characters and care about them, so that the action, when it comes, actually matters to us.

Well I guess I am gonna have to wait until the episode re airs after talking dead go figure out the heck happened this episode.

CM punk is right, they both had to die.

Say what you will , but the last half made that a great episode.

lol Yvette Nicole Brown. "You know I like to ship, y'all, it's not a surprise!" :funny:

I think we ALL called it, but the feels and whatnot.

She never should been left alone anytime after her break down

Though the breakdown was more revealing to us than to the characters because of what we had seen(Lizzie smothering Judith, mainly). They knew Lizzie had a creepy fascination of walkers but not that she would kill her own sister to turn her into one.

In this case they still should have been better safe then sorry & at least kept Lizzie chained up somewhere when they were out. You dont let the kid that threatened to kill an adult & pointed a gun at someone willingly walk freely without adult supervision

I was saying they are gonna have to go all "Of Mice and Men" on her.

All these feels man.

Lizzie killed Mika.

I don't think I've ever seen a mod flat out tell what has happened, especially after a poster says they will wait to see what happens themselves. WTH....yeah he asked for it, but spoiler tags, black out, PM, etc. at the very least.

Considering this is a discussion thread for an episode that has already aired, spoilers are to be expected. And he asked for them.

But seriously, wow. I won't lie, this show has been letting me down the past couple weeks. It's reverted to season 2 level stalling. But damned if tonight didn't change that. When this show brings it, it brings it. It may have been pure emotional manipulation on the writer's part (killing children is a great way tug heartstrings). But it was crazy effective. It was brutal to watch....but damn good television.

I understand now what Lizzie meant when she said she didn't mean to shoot Alisha in the head.

Naw, I get that the poster did ask for it, but what about the people that venture here not knowing or someone that stumbles on. It's not a huge issue at all for me. Guess I'm just use to some forum etiquette where spoiler tags, blackout or a PM would've been the better way to go regardless if a poster asked or not. Like I said not a huge issue, just a first time I've seen a mod do that compared to the many times I've seen posters get some type of backlash from mods and posters alike...even in the discussion thread. Okay, I'm done.

I agree with your second paragraph though! This show had me and my girl like wtf...did that just happen...[BLACKOUT]Weird I was happy that lizzie got put down as she was a huge liability, but I was sad that the reason that had to happen was at the expense of Mika. WOW no lil girl is safe with Carol...that's got to suck![/BLACKOUT]

That's exactly it. The episode was deeply disturbing , but I praise them for not holding back
