The Walking Dead The Walking Dead Season 5, Episode 16 "Conquer" Discussion Thread

I'm guessing the Wolves will attack Alexandria early next season. They now have all of Aaron's recruitment pictures.

Well, someone did die. Someone irrelevant, but still.

Glad it ended the way it did. It was way too soon for the Scavengers/Wolves and horde to come in. We need some more time in Alexandria before the real **** hits the fan.

Nice. No one died, but that was a nice moment to end the season on.

"Do it."

Wait, there's more...

Ok, good to end with Michonne to taking her sword up again.

Ok!?! That was one of the best season finales of this series. And nobody died.........surprisingly.

Agreed on both counts. :D Don't have to have a big kill just to go out with a bang.

Count me in that "Morgan's British???? :wow: " camp. :hehe:

Good moment with it being put on the table for the Alexandrians, but in less of a *****etastic way than it had been leading.

Yay, Morgan finally caught up. I suppose a bro embrace would have been a bit out of place.

I had higher hopes for the post-credits scene. Wanted something with the Wolves/Scavengers or another looming threat. Maybe something featuring some loon holding a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire. Greedy, I know.

Lennie James on Talking Dead!!! :D

Glad to see Lennie James finally show up again and it was great to see him kick some ass. So that was our actual introduction to The Wolves Epic trap that Daryl and Aaron fell into and seeing Daryl use a chain to decapitate three zombies was awesome. Carol was excellent in this especially when she tells Pete "Come at me". Can't believe Nicholas shot Glenn! Very cool that Morgan was the one to save Daryl and Aaron. Superb gore in the scene where Gabriel decapitates the walker with the noose around its neck. Rick pushing his gun up into that walker's face before shooting it looked amazing. Very satisfying seeing Glenn beat up Nicholas and was disappointed that Glenn chose not to kill him. Another good speech from Rick at the end. Pete showing up and killing Deanna's husband was unexpected. I loved that Deanna told Rick to put him down. Morgan and Rick reunited! Loved the symbolism of Michonne taking the katana back down from the wall.

Im not disappointed that Glenn left Nicholas alive, I don't want Glenn to go so far the other way that he's unlikable. :(

Negan? I think that's what we are all waiting for but still it was a great episode.

Oh yeah don't come to this thread much didn't want to post that but yeah I thought for sure we'd at least see a guy holding a bat at least.

heh, just realized Morgan probably Walked most of the way to Washington, like a Boss.

OMG! People have been begging for Negan but when he comes, he comes. It's clear they are deviating from the comics but they have done a good job thus far.

Pretty much. :funny:

That scene in GoT killed me.
Viper was one of my favorite characters that season (because he hated the Lannisters as much as I did lol) and I thought for once the Lannisters were going to lose. My wife had already read the books so she knew what was going to go down and had the poker face until it happened lol. It ruined my night and stayed with me for a few days.

Negan won't show up until the end of next season I'd wager. We need to go through quite a bit before he comes into play.

Overall it was good but the ending was not a way to end this episode. I want my finales to feel like finales, I don't need constant open endlessness.

And I feel like they played way to open with certain scenes. Like how the hell is Glenn still alive? He should be dead.

Rick...

I've never understood the "they aren't going from The Governor to Negan in 1 episode, so I'm angry and refuse to enjoy myself" attitude. This was an AWESOME finale...tons of tension in really 4 different places, and people could have died or killed and it really showed them struggling to regain their humanity.
