I figured I would introduce myself. I've been apart of this board for a few days. My whole intention, so far, is to play in this thread. Right now the current character idea is Kyle Rayner or possibly another ring slinger. I've read up on the current thread and in the slow process of reading the last arc\thread since it is heavily Corps related. If anyone can give me a quick run down of the different Corps, then I'll be able to post a character quicker.

The various Corps started showing up a couple of seasons back.

The Parallax Corps was the first on scene (Sinestro was not affiliated with them, still working with the JLA to become a hero again)

The Orange Lanterns were next. Since we brought them into the game before Larfleeze's power was explained in the comics, we gave Mongul an orange ring before defeating him. There are orange rings, which Larfleeze keeps a tight hold of. But Hector Hammand has one now.

Atrocitus showed up, and introduced the Red Lanterns to the game. They're pretty much how they are in the comics.

Carol Farris became the Star Sapphire again, which caused a lot of tension between her and Hal over how they would take care of their son. Guy Gardner, telling the Guardians off during Sinestro's trial, was banished from the GL's. But a violet ring came to him, making him a Star Sapphire (the only guy in a Corps of scantily clad babes )

Saint Walker and Warth were the only two Blue Lanterns. But because Darkseidiest Night was going so badly, Ganthet sent out a ton of temporary blue rings into the universe. One of which is joined with Wally West. The blue rings are still out there, but I plan on exploring that soon.

The Indigo's are as enigmatic as ever.

After becoming a Green Lantern again, Sinestro joined with his Yellow Ring and merged with Parallax. Eventually Hal defeated him, and Sinestro seemingly died. But he returned during Darkseid's invasion, now the leader of the Sinestro Corps.

After the defeat of Darkseid and the Black Lanterns, the Life entity joins with Guy, making him a White Lantern.

The plan with Kyle right now is for him to go double agent. Somewhere along the line, his green ring runs out in middle of a fight and has no chance to recharge. The only thing he is able to think is that he HOPES to survive the encounter and a blue ring comes his way. Then he has troubles deciding which Corps he wants to be with permanently and probably have Saint Walker find him after Kyle gets the blue ring. Another possible idea is for Kyle to wield both either at the same time like Jordan tried or alternate. I'll probably bring in the romance with Jade if she is alive. Has the other entities shown up yet besides the white one? It does disturb me seeing Gardner in the purple outfit while I read the thread.

Only thing I can say is that you shouldn't get too caught up in all the colors and rings (Easy for me to say, Guy is on his third power ring in as many seasons) because it can come off a bit gimmicky, and there were some characters that got new rings for arbitrary reasons last season and it kinda bugged me. Don't just do it to be doing it.

Our Blackest Night is nothing like the comics. You have to understand we had our own version of it comic continuity doesn't enter just because we did A Blackest night story. So Jade is not back or anyone from the dead and no other entities other than Parallax and Ion have shown up in our games.

If Jade is dead then I can deal with that. Right now I'm just trying to get a feel of where this RPG is at. As for the ring changes, that is still an idea to be played with as well. I did find the pic above of Lobo and Gardner in their "Sapphire" outfits to be funny especially when both fit by far better in the Red Lantern Corps.

Just making note that I am dropping Merlyn. That was intended purely for that fight. Though, heh, I thought it would be a bit longer but that's the thing about RPing and especially with fights in them. I'm happy with the posts that had Damian whooping Merlyn so that's that.

A new application should be up soon but not sure when this week.

I think the main reason it would be preferred you to not play with such an idea is that like byrd mentioned last Season was all about that concept of the rings finding heroes and villains of Earth as Lanterns of different Corps. Heck, technically it started two seasons ago because that story's intro was at the end of Season 7.

We aren't trying to make you not want to play Kyle, just hoping for a different angle to go with.

One story that is GL related I would like to do is someone is able to wield multiple rings or at least the energy of them vs someone else who is able to do the same. That may have already been done in last season with Larfleeze but haven't gotten that far yet.

Pfft... screw Batman. I like the idea of Kyle being a blue lantern, but having multiple rings at the same time is something we should avoid, as is giving rings to non-Lantern characters, but shuffling membership among the Corps isn't inherently bad, especially if done within the realm of the character's personality. (Kyle fits as a Blue, but not a Red.)

If you want to play Kyle, apply as him. Like I said it was not meant to deter you in any way just giving you the opinion of myself and what looked like others that posted. As an AGM I can only enforce anything if you do something against the rules.

Ok, I FINALLY got done with season 8. I'll admit I would have done a few things differently with different characters but that is me. I do have one question. With the Anti-Life and Black Lanterns being connected, are all of those who were effected with the Anti-Life Black Lanterns and vice versa? Since the ones like Jay (Flash 1) were able to shake off the effect of the anti-life and become normal, would that mean other characters could? I did notice something that sort of needs changed in the current thread. Ms. Quinn doesn't have her violet ring anymore which was mention in season nine of her having it. I think it was also mention that Hal had his child back in season nine but I'll need to double check that.

Grodd's bomb is enough to change anyone remotely human into a bestiamorph if they're within the general area of him. I'd say about twenty to thirty feet or so.

Also, I edited the list of cities effected. I replaced Coast City with Star City since the Titans are being attacked there.

Hal's kid is dead and any BLs were not dead people raised from the grave, but instead mindless drones of Darkseid. Doesn't matter since there were only a few BLs were weren't nameless NPCs
