Be a star....yeah I'll be a star alright.
I agree. Taker could've been matched with Reigns or Rollins but Ambrose was chosen and Im sure it wasn't the bookers' decision alone. Taker has creative input for his matches.
Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but for those reasons you wrote and, if Taker decides to end the streak, whomever beats it will get a mega push as a heel and as a main eventer.
I'm ambivalent as regards Cena ending the streak, I've always felt something like that in a business that is a work should only exist to be used to put someone over, records were made to be broken and all that. I'd much prefer Ambrose for sure, but it would take a lot of work in one year to get him to the point of being a threat to the streak, let alone ending it.
Oh yeah Triple H buried him in the match, Vince made the call and Trips took full advantage by kicking out of Booker's finish immediately and then yes, beating him with a single pedigree.
I think what should have happened is Booker should have snapped in the match, got DQ'd and beat Triple to a bloody mess, so while he didn't get the title he still got his payback.
I'm pretty sure Rollins weighs the least and is the shortest.
And that was all of PAC's matches in the indies. The few matches I've seen him in live were horrible. Just plain horrible.Just caught Antonio Cesaro vs Adrian Neville on NXT this week. Neville was formerly Pac on the Indies. Saw him once, it was hard to gauge his abilities since the match he was in a spotfest. Showed a lot of athleticism though.
Good match between the two. Worth checking out. Neville's got a good look and several flashy moves, including a corkscrew shooting star press. I can see him getting called up once they have plans for him.
Cesaro was doing well for himself until the yodeling. He had the Rugby character and the word in five seconds things, which sucked. Once they pushed him with the US title and dropped Oksana, he was being pushed for his throwback style and his rugby toughness. Think about him using the Neutrilizer on Khali and Clay. Yeah, they may not be upper tier, but it made him look strong, which was a great way to get him started. Since he's foreign, the US title is a good way to get their heel characters over, but it can only go so far. Hell, I think he even beat Orton cleanly when he had momentum, but then once he was paired with Ryback, he looked like a complete chicken ****, gets fed to Orton, and after destroying Miz is routinely losing to him.Agreed. We don't want another Cesaro situation.
Pac is pretty much a spot monkey, but he's really good at it. He needs to work on things like ring psychology and mic work, but he's a really exciting performer. He really needs a name change though, and maybe they should put a mask him to do what Sin Cara couldn't. Replace Mysterio.Just caught Antonio Cesaro vs Adrian Neville on NXT this week. Pac has been able to work something similar to the WWE style. The problem with what happened with Sin Cara is really WWE's and HHH's fault. Instead of putting him in NXT for a few months to get used to how the WWE works, they put him directly on the main roster.I was thinking the same thing. I've never seen Neville mess up a spot, so maybe he would work better than Sin Cara.
Ambrose would need booking like Brock Lesnar's rookie year. He's in his late 20s, so he's at a good age that he could ride the reputation of ending the Streak for a good decade or so.
That would've worked perfectly and neither would be weak coming out of the match.
It must be the camera angles because Rollins at times looks a few inches taller.
Just had a thought. I do think if Cena turns heel, he is likely to get cheered. When Hogan turned heel, no one expected it. Everyone is really just waiting for the turn to happen for Cena.
I don't care. I know not every wrestler is going to pose with it or any other belt I might have. I think its pretty cool though especially since three of those guys were former US Champions. Its ironic that Vince phased out the title in 3 months and kept Cena's inferior looking next spinning belt for 8 years.
Orton ending the streak would of been a terrible mistake. The streak has been the best thing about Mania the last few years. Also with Orton's change of persona it wouldn't of done much good . Another thing is that Orton hasn't lived up to his potential.
I've pretty much met every wrestler from my generation aside from The Rock (you can imagine my frustration) so aside from getting a picture with them and a few autographs, I'd figure I'd do something different upon the next time I meet them. After all, it is my first belt. Hard to believe its 8 years old, but I fell in love with it after seeing its debut at Armageddon 2004. Its also a good way for Wrestler X to remember me since not many people carry around that title since everybody owns the damn WWE Championship Spinner these days.
While Orton is to blame for letting world champion go to his head, I also fault Triple H for not putting him over especially at Wrestlemania 25. I lost count of how many times Orton jobbed to Hunter in their 5 year feud.
Why exactly is Ambrose getting some potential build up to face Taker at Mania instead of Reigns when Reigns is the leader of the group?

It's really criminal what the hell they were thinking by changing this and have him do the yodeling on top of it. The guy is one of their best workers, as he can work against any style and make his opponent look like a million bucks. I've said it before, but it begs repeating that when he wrestled against Sin Cara, Sin Cara looked great because Cesaro world traveled. Hell, even against someone like Khali, who can barely do anything in the ring, Cesaro made him look good and showed his strength.
I'm sure Vince had a hand in Cesaro doing his anti-American stick, and when it got stale, Vince got bored.

I really wish WWE would consider a legitimate lightweight division (cruiserweight).

If any WWE fans were aware of Mistico's work outside of WWE, they would see that the guy is truly amazing.
