Bret Hart

I really liked the Bella's match tonight, and the angle Punk did with Undertaker was brilliant. The spilled Paul Bearer ashes might seem in poor taste but Paul would've absolutely loved it. Raw was excellent overall.

Are you sure that's not from another guy named Bret Hart?

I'm surprised Bret would like&defend something like that

WWE reached out to Bearer's son and got an enthusiastic approval for the angle, so I don't think anyone should be offended.

I know But I meant Bret Hart is usually serious about things and not into story lines such as this,He has even said he was never a fan or bought into the the Undertaker deadman character

Yeah, I rememeber someone else saying recently that Paul would've approved of the situation himself because he was always all for doing whatever you could do for the business and entertainment.

Back! RAW live was a fun experience, even though I felt the show itself was subpar.

Notes:

- They taped Superstars, Saturday Morning Slam, Main Event, Smackdown, and RAW.

- Best matches: Jericho vs Cesaro, and Kofi Kingston vs Justin Gabriel, the latter will be on Saturday Morning Slam.

- Biggest face reaction: The Rock. The crowd went crazy. The guys in my section were booing, and some woman above me was screaming so loud.

- Biggest heel reaction: John Cena. The moment his music hit. I was like, "Wow".

- Taker's entrance is really cool in person.

- Best moment of the night: Shawn Michaels' appearance! Oh come on, who didn't think I wasn't going to say that? :D He's still the man.

- Best segment: HHH/HBK and Lesnar/Heyman. Heyman and HBK are just masters on the microphone. You can't teach this stuff.

- Punk beating up Taker with the urn was good, and I was shaking my head as a duel chant started. Punk was acting his heelish self, and the crowd was still cheering for him.

- Naomi is sexy! And she can wrestle her tail off.

- I thought both Cena and Rock's promos were boring and neither really said anything new. Cena's promo had a heelish edge, but unless it leads somewhere, it was a waste. Rock's just didn't appeal to me much. I used to think he was funny when I was younger, but I may have just outgrown him and find his stuff to be dated.

I just started watching Raw so maybe there's still more to this, but does Cena not understand that everything he said about The Rock's belt design describes Cena and his belt 100%?

Nope, and it was another reason why that promo had me yawning.

I've only been to one WWE event in my life, which was No Mercy back in 2004, and as cool as his entrance was, I was a bit underwhelmed because my seat was so high that when the lights went out, they only went out in the bottom half. It was not nearly as pitch black as it looks on TV.

WWE has to have something up their sleeve for Cena vs. Rock. They can't possibly come out of this with nothing hapening.

I was pretty high up too. I was behind the Wrestlemania sign and the announcer table.

It definitely wasn't as pitch black as it looks on tv, but it still looked good. The cut off most of the lights. If you notice, they've enhanced Taker's entrance since 2004, including the flames from the stage and darkened the arena.

They didn't even properly build to Mania, so it's hard to think they have something up their sleeve.

It's almost as if they feel assured they're gonna make a lot of money on Mania and didn't care about the build up.

No matter what Punk does he still gets Cheered WWE still doesn't understand all this.

Should've been New Age Outlaws vs. Rhodes Scholars with the winners getting a tag team title shot at Extreme Rules.

I think they've upped the production of most entrances in the past decade, but regardless, it was still awesome to be there to experience that at least once in my life. I only wish I could have gone to more events to see other superstars like HBK or Stone Cold live since the event I went to was a Smackdown event and was pretty lame.

There is a rumor Rock will work Extreme Rules.

I could see a slow heel turn for Cena over the next couple months. Maybe someone will interfere on his behalf at Wrestlemania. Then we'll find out Cena was in cahoots or they can have him exhibit questionable behavior. That will give them time for Punk to turn face.

I've seen this happen to many times to get my hopes up though. 95% of the time they go the predictable route with Cena. I could see Cena's heelish promo just a ruse to pull in fans for buyrates.

When I went to Wrestlemania 27, all the lights went out. I wonder if maybe it was just your particular arena?

I've never felt more confident in Cena turning than I do right now.

Heels don't really get boo'd anymore.

CM Punk gets cheered. Jericho got cheered despite his epic troll job. Ziggler has been over. Orton got face reactions as a heel. Daniel Bryan became the most over person on the roster for a bit as a heel.

Meanwhile, the faces: Cena, Orton, Sheamus, Ryback, Del Rio... not much reaction happens for these guys, or they get mixed reactions.

Unless your name is The Rock, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Austin, Jericho, or Undertaker, you're not gonna get cheered as a face anymore.

Basically, the Attitude Era guys. And the heels get cheered so much because today's heel is more akin to an Attitude Era face.

Not true at all. You could get cheered as a face. Being a face isn't the main problem.

You know what Cena, Orton, Sheamus, Ryback, Del Rio get mixed or small reactions? Not because they're face, but because they're boring faces. The problem with WWE is that they when they push guys as faces, it's because they want to sell them as toys, merchandise, etc., and they try to hard to make them clean faces.

If Del Rio kept the cheating face gimmick, that would have worked much better with his character but because another certain Mexican wrestler was famous for that I guess they decided not to do that.

The others also to be more interesting. Show more edge, or some personality to them. Hell, they even managed to make Randy Orton dull.

I was watching old videos of Cena's rivalry with JBL. Where's that Cena? He doesn't need to curse or be lewd, but there was intensity in Cena's eyes during his feud JBL. He even did things like deilver an Attitude Adjustment FU to Teddy Long and smashed JBL's car. That Cena was fun, and unpredictable. WWE has stripped away lot of the unpredictability of WWE which is another problem that I'll go into another day.

In short, main thing is they need to give these faces more personality. They do so with the heels. The reason CM Punk is always so loved is because he has personality.

Not going to lie. They've done a good job with Cena's heel tease. Shame it won't be happening again.

Watch Cena's U.S. Championship run. That was entertaining to me, especially his feud with Booker T. There were people on the internet who were begging for Cena to be a top guy back then., but WWE decided to turn Cena into The Marine and it went downhill from there.

Surprisingly, Halle Berry seems to be surviving her association with WWE. I was expecting another bomb and Hollywood to roast her for being on RAW promoting a movie made by an entertainment pariah.

But The Call made a good profit, which could turn into a great one, and audiences seem to like it. The critics are split, but at least she doesn't have another Catwoman on her resume'.

Orton gets a strong face reaction from the crowd. It never sounds mixed.

I also remember on how much I wanted to see a feud take place between Cena and Orton back then during when they were rising stars. I'd figure that the then Legend Killer and the Doctor of Thuganomics would have great in ring chemistry and would have a awesome and exciting feud. Was I wrong or what?lol

- Wade Barrett tweeted the following about The Miz after last night's RAW:

"@MikeTheMiz got to see the #BullHammer up close tonight. He'll get an even closer viewing on the #Wrestlemania pre-show. #BarrettBarrage"

- Sin Cara was in attendance for last night's WWE RAW from Washington, DC. As noted, he has been cleared to wrestle. Cara posted a photo during RAW that indicated he was watching the show from the crowd.

- Rey Mysterio says he flew into Washington, DC yesterday to meet with WWE doctors. He tweeted:

"On my way back to CALI, went to DC 4 check up, WWE dr. Said PT is going good! C u wm!"

- Based on commercials airing for the WWE Hall of Fame special that airs on USA next Tuesday, it looks like WWE will only be airing the inductions of Bruno Sammartino, Trish Stratus and Donald Trump. F4Wonline.com notes that there are people within WWE who aren't happy that Foley isn't being featured.

- Fandango is getting a spot on WrestleMania 29 because the character is Vince McMahon's new pet project. Vince is said to be a big fan of the gimmick and the arrogance that comes with it. The idea at WrestleMania 29 is for Chris Jericho to make the Fandango character stronger. Vince is really behind the success of Fandango.

Regarding Jericho's WWE status, the two sides are talking about what he will be doing with them in the future. He was originally scheduled to finish up at WrestleMania. The belief within WWE is that Jericho and WWE will continue to have a part-time relationship.

- There has also been talk about Mark Henry leaving WWE after WrestleMania 29. Word now is that WWE and Henry are on the same page. Officials are very happy with Henry's work since returning and he will most likely staying with the company.

It is a shame they will probably feed Mark to Ryback.
In my mind I just can not see Ryback beating Mark.
