The Wrestlemania kick-off presser was absolute gold, some of the best booking I've seen in ages, there's so much goofy crap these days in the business but this was oldschool top athletes with big ego's and big personalities jostling for the top spot and the World title.

For over a decade WWE's booking style was to piss off the fans and I think Vince twisted lying got off on ending Wrestlemania with fans booing, but this time they've pivoted straight away when the bulk of fans turned on the bull**** with the Rock.

I think Triple H knew it wouldn't work but Rock thought he'd "save Wrestlemania" when it didn't need saving, it needed an extra match to headline night 1 while Cody vs Roman II headlines night 2 and now they have multiple options. Thankfully Triple H and Rock came from a time that was less manufactured and Vince had to listen to fans as WCW was kicking his ass, so realising that the section of fans pining for the attitude era were in the minority now, Rock has slipped brilliantly into heel mode and things are exciting and unpredictable.

I know I'm a day late and a dollar short when it comes to keeping up with these shows but watching Smackdown I just noticed Corey Graves made a SLC Punk! reference and I am happy.

Looks like Austin wants another match, and this time with CM Punk. And said he knows how to improve on his last match with Owens. I'm honestly surprised because it seems Austin is kind of lobbying for another match even if he says he isn't. Seems like his spark is reignited.

They better not be setting us up for Seth to screw Cody at Mania

I'd be lying if I said that the the thought didn't cross my mind as a possibility.

Still, I'd like to think that the WWE isn't that stupid. If Cody doesn't win this time, then any chance at finishing his story on a high note will be lost forever. Timing is everything and WM 40 is where Roman needs to drop the title.

I thought about it as well, when Seth dropped the Shield line in his promo, since he was the one that turned on them. However I don't think they'll go that route. Cody talked to Sammi later, so I just think they're going to assemble the wrestling avengers to fight off the bloodline.

The one reason I have pause that Seth would betray Cody is if Seth is indeed as injured as they have been hyping on TV and he is limited in his ability to work, then ya can't have him betray Cody unless he is going to be able to feud with him immediately after for months. He can't just screw him over and then go on a multi month sabbatical. Wouldn't work. But all that hinges on how bad off Seth really is

He needs Omos as a counter to Solo, because Solo won't be able to spike him due to the size of Omos.

The Bloodline coming out to save Roman again and a bunch of the roster they have screwed over coming to stop them would be WWE's Avengers Endgame portal moment. I could Sammi, Seth and co getting huge pop in that moment

Yep that's exactly how I see it. You can have Seth, Sammi, Owens, Jey, Knight, Orton, etc. all beat down the bloodline.

My personal hope would be having Randy be the one to prevent Rock interference. Setting up that match. They're both third generation wrestlers. Randy is from another royal wrestling family. Rock is a legend. Orton is the legend killer. And they've never had a one on one. Plus Randy has the history with Triple H to serve as his proxy since we know H can't go anymore. He's also an extremely safe worker, so who better to put The Rock in with?

Wrestlemania isn't the time to have Seth betray Cody, I don't think

First of all, don't have Seth betray Cody to give Roman the win. Just...just don't.

Doing it after just ruins the moment too much.

I'd honestly say do it at Backlash, in a Cody and Seth vs Roman and Rock tag match or something.

A certain Peacemaker star may want revenge on Solo if he's available to return in the summer.

I still think Cody is losing as I suspect Roman surpassing Hogan's reign was always the plan going as far back as WM39. I honestly cannot think of any reason why Cody should win at this point.

Ratings and ticket sales are stronger than ever so why make the change now when they can ride this out until WM41?

And then on top of that, if Cody wins, what heel can they have go against him that's as credible as Roman? If Cody was allowed to have rematch after rematch, then the same should be done with Roman, so it's like a endless waltz.

Given the backlash the company received after they tried to replace Cody with the Rock at WM 40, i doubt things would get better if Cody loses again.

Also, the idea that they wouldn't have any worthy challenges for Cody afterwards is extremely flawed. Most are in agreement that Roman should drop the belt already. His whole gimmick has gotten stale at this point. The company would lose a lot more than they would gain by keeping him as champion.
