The Wrestling Thread has much larger nipples

Any thoughts on Stand and Deliver though? Finally watched the whole thing today and the only thing I didn't care for was Stacks betraying Tony D.

People thought it was better than Mania, by far.

Can't say they lied.

I think across the 2 nights there was some good and even great stuff, the 2 triple threat matches were instant classics and they Heyman/Seth angle to close night 1 was red hot, Jade vs Naomi was good, Jacob winning his first Championship, the street fight, and the return of Becky, but it was badly bogged down by two dreadful men's World title matches, the disgusting undercurrent of the commentary during the Logan Paul match, and the anticlimactic close to night 2.

That was probably the worst Mania I’ve ever seen… I missed quite a few being a lapsed fan so I won’t try to rank it but yeah, I think it’s the worst I’ve actually watched..
You've must have missed a lot. :funny:

Going by ones I watched either live or like the next day or 2 after, that honor goes to Mania 32. Truly awful show, was like 7 hours, and didn't have the 2 night break up. Also, this Manua at least had a few great matches. 32 had misery and more mystery and a 32 minute Triple H vs Reigns main event. Yuck.

But that said, worst one in a few years. There are worse Manias, but this one overall was lacking.

I'm old enough to have watched Wrestlemania 9 live, and then there's 27, an all timer in the annals of crap Mania's.

Sol Ruca winning the NXT Women's North American Title is cool because I like her a lot. She has a unique look rather than "generic NXT blond" which NXT has a lot of. Her tattoos make her stick out and that is a good thing. She is also Speed Champion, which doesn't count.

It was a decent show, not one of NXT's best, but solid. The main event was a physical and entertaining spotfest, the Women's NXT championship Fatal 4-Way was good, and it was cool to see Hank & Tank, and Sol Ruca win their first titles. Roadblock is still the best NXT show this year for me.

Tomorrow night on Raw, there needs to be a hard reboot.

Start building now and utilizing the roster better.

There's no reason why Chelsea Green, Carmelo Hayes and other stars like them had to sit in catering this year when you have two nights of Mania now.

I did, missed most from 15 to 34… Haha… I’d tune in here and there and I’ve since watched a bit on the Network to catch up but I was out of the loop for a very long time. For awhile I’d tune in to try to catch Rock and Stone Cold then turn it off when their segments were done, when Stone Cold retired and Rock went Hollywood I was basically out…

Some thoughts about Stand and Deliver:

- Fraxiom is breaking up once they get their rematch, this will lead to a match between the two at the next PLE, which will be a fun match. They've had tension the last few weeks.
- As I said, the Stacks betrayal of Tony D should have been saved for weekly NXT.
- Any of the women who was in the ladder match for the Women's NA Title would have been the right choice. Sol Ruca is a fun choice and the right one. I can see Kelani Jordan being called up.
- Je'von Evans is great, but he'll get more chances to be NXT Champion.
- Ethan Page is getting called up.

The first 9 Manias are varying degrees of awful. 11 is bad. 13 has a legendary match and the rest is terrible. 14-16 kind of suck. Then we got a string of good to great Manias till 27. 32 is really bad outside of the women's triple threat. 36 is a weird one. 37 is eh.

Moose vs. Oba was a dream match that a lot of people wanted when the NXT-TNA thing began, and it did not disappoint.

WWE Evolve on Tubi is a 45 minute quickie, like old school NXT in a way. A lot of WWE ID folks, and also NXT veterans like Wendy Choo, Gallus and Oro Mensah. There is however a woman who I think you guys should look out for when she gets to NXT, and her name is Kali Armstrong. She's a former track star with the look and pretty solid in ring skills, but is in NXT Evolve because the regular NXT Women's Division is stacked, but watch out for her, because she's going to be a good one in NXT.

I was old enough to have seen 27, but I wasn't watching then lol. I saw that one several years later. And I regret that decision lol

Ohhh man, that's brutal, I wish I'd had the chance to be forewarned.

There's some great matches in the first 8 Mania's, but the fact Hogan is in all the main events bar one certainly hurts the quality, and there were a lot of really short matches crammed on back then, like 14 matches in 3 hours.

Really good match, as was the Hardys vs Fraxiom and Roxy vs Grace, and the Stephanie vs Giulia main event was gold.

WrestleMania 14 is still the GOAT.

To this very damn day.

The thing I always think about 14 is what might have been if Shawn wasn't partially crippled and Austin wasn't having to protect his neck, these 2 fully fit would have had a classic.

I get it if Bayley was taken out because of an injury they just discovered, but she was healthy, so her being taken out makes no sense.

I'm more a WM 17 guy myself. Rock/Austin, TLC II, Taker vs HHH, Vince vs Shane, even the gimmick battle royal was fun. Only match I liked from WM 14 was Kane vs Undertaker. Shawn, even with his injury you can tell did not want to take that loss to Austin. The Tyson part was fun though.

Suicide isn't the answer.

AEW hasn't been terrible as of late, in fact quite the opposite. The only thing bad about it is the faction that Mox is in called the Death Riders. Also the Young Bucks returning wasn't great. AEW has booked Ricochet better than WWE because he has been able to show a lot of personality in AEW, which he wasn't allowed to do in WWE.

I'm going to call Roxanne beating Lyra for the IC title. Becky is a great partner for Lyra, so she can handle the majority of the talking and help get Lyra more over hopefully. Lyra in the ring is already very good obviously.

TNA will get coverage for their champion being at Wrestlemania, and you gotta feel happy for Joe Hendry the human being getting that moment. Who cares if he memed his way into it? He is a better all around wrestler than Jey. And don't pretend that his theme isn't catchy :o
