The news about JBL possibly returning to the announce table makes me happy. That guy has potential to be remembered as one of the greatest color commentators of all time, if he has a lengthy stint.

Yup!

cool! thanks!!

TNA wrestler Matt Morgan offered another tease for a possible departure from TNA. He posted a graphic that features the words "I don't care about making an 'Impact,' I'm ready to start a War." The words "Tick Tock" appear on the cell door featured in the image. [Thanks to Dot Net reader Victor Rodriguez]

Powell's POV: Am I the only person who thinks the graphic looks similar to some of the work that TNA has done for their pay-per-view posters? I have a hard time believing that anyone from TNA is WWE-bound given the ongoing legal dispute between the two companies. Even so, Morgan's tweets have generated interest in whatever it is he's doing next.

I've been wondering if he's involved in Aces & Eights somehow. Like...maybe we've been worked by him. Doubtful but its been in my mind.

The cell door could represent him feeling freed from TNA of course.

Bradshaw's return as The Commentating God would make so happy. You have no idea...

The Angle/Punk thing is so weird, Punk's comment was dickish but surely Kurt has seen wrestlers/promoters taking shots at rival companies/wrestlers before, he's done it himself.

Matt Morgan behind Aces & 8's to spearhead his push as a main event heel would be cool, I think they've missed the boat on the "Intelligent monster" character with him, and this could really get him in the right place to become a main event heel.

Magnus getting a long run with the TV Title would be a good way to build him up as a star in the same way WCW did with Booker T. A feud between him and Joe would be good.

Joe vs Magnus would be good for sure but I am hoping Joe can keep himself in the main event mix, I feel like he's rediscovered himself over the BFG series and could be a good challenger for Storm post BFG.

RVD's persona has always been more geared as a heel. He needs some kind of edge. I think he'll stay in TNA for the simple fact he doesn't have to worry about the wellness policy and he has the freedom to do what he wants for the most part. You have to consider the TNA schedule as well. A big reason he did not go back to WWE was due to wanting to spend more time with his wife after her bout with cancer. I respect that.

Oh I'm not saying he'll want to go or go back to WWE, I just wonder if TNA really need to keep him with his huge contract. He's basically joint 6th string face on the roster and too lazy to become anything more at this stage IMO.

Unfortunately I think you are right about AJ. He's done a good job making his matches with Daniels fresh, but I do not want to see them go at it again. Time to move on! Please TNA kill this angle at No Surrender.

I'm honestly not sure how they book themselves out of this, it's not like you can have a "I'm not the father" match, plus I get the horrible feeling that the next step will be AJ accidently knocking her off the apron during one of his matches and she'll "lose" the baby.

Storm could have a nice feud with Bully for a bit. They can also drag out his reign with a few 3 ways with Aries and Roode. TNA needs another strong heel. I would not be surprised if Joe gets a renewed main event push so Storm has someone to go up against.

I'd love a Storm/Bully Ray feud over the belt if Ray stays, but they need to have him win a few matches to get him primed as a threat to Storm, and a renewed push for Joe turning into a Storm/Joe feud would be great as well.

I just pray they do not put Anderson against him. That guy needs to stay away from the main events.

Co-signed. :funny:

I think he'll pull an Edge and just enjoy being out of the spotlight and do it on his terms.

Certainly possible as I doubt he's wasteds his money.

I think a lot of Kurt's anger stems back to when Punk called him a drunkard on twitter a while back. Those two definitely do not like each other. Kurt's a nutjob these days and makes outlandish statements but I've never heard anything bad about him other than his own personal demons with pain pills, injuries, and alcohol. I think he is well liked for the most part and not seen as a jerk. I'd hope I'd never cross paths with Kurt if I was Punk.

I've never been all that high on Morgan, simply for the fact he doesn't know how to work like a big man and he tends to ramble in his promos, which is probably due to his ADD that he said he has. But the Ace's and 8's angle would be a great way to bring him back into an important role. Despite my personal opinions on his character, he is someone TNA should have been pushing.

I've always wondered if part of the reason he never was pushed higher in TNA maybe had something to do with a possible attitude. Paul London and Brian Kendrick told a few stories of him being a horrible jerk in OVW and roughing one guy up and knocking him out in the ring and trying to get the guy to take the blame for it.

I rather he never sees a ring again altogether.

* Eve defeated Kaitlyn to become Booker T's new assistant.

* Randy Orton feated Daniel Bryan.

* Daniel Bryan gets on the mic and says he will not leave until the fans stop chanting "Yes" after his loss to Randy Orton. Triple H comes down to the ring and gives him the pedigree. (Probably wont air on Friday)

JBL back as at the announce table!? YEEES! YES! YES! YES!

I always saw Christian as a guy who could float between midcard and main event. People said Bryan would NEVER make it to that same level and he did. Christian could have been more than WWE thinks.

This is exactly how I feel. I never expected Christian to be 'the man' but he could feud with just about anyone and make them look good.

Good lord, sounds like one of the most stupidest Smackdowns in awhile from my perspective...

they just don't put any effort into smackdown sometimes
gone are the days where smackdown had better matches/feuds than raw

What's ironic though is that Smackdown isn't plagued by the part timers (Lesner or Triple H) and John Cena from overtaking the spotlight, so there's more of a chance for the other talent to chime in on the screen time, but even with that advantage, the show still doesn't utilize everyone that could use it and deserves it in the right manner.

Going through Taker's WM matches and I had forgotten how bad his WM matches(not his fault though)were until his 5th one with Diesel/Kevin Nash(underrated match btw imo)

Smackdown doesn't sound very good, the cluster**** booking of this boring Sheamus vs Del Rio feud has only made a bad situation worse, and I get the horrible feeling that the booking of Ziggler/Jericho is going to lead to the wrong guy going over.

Plus it looks like Daniel Bryan is becoming a "jobber to the stars."

I doubt Punk sweats him, he has been training with the Gracie family for a long while now in various MMA disciplines, he's no pushover and Angle is a wreck, plus Punk is the type who'll pick a fight with the biggest guy in the room and run his mouth regardless of copping a beating, come to think of it these two are soul mates and would probably have a hell of a match lol. :D

I've never been all that high on Morgan, simply for the fact he doesn't know how to work like a big man and he tends to ramble in his promos, which is probably due to his ADD that he said he has. Oh I agree on him not knowing how to work like a big man, I watched his matches with Jeff Hardy in disbelief, I thought surely Nash would have imparted the less is more credo to him. His promos are a mixed bag but I think he's had some crappy material to deal with so it's hard to really judge.

I've always wondered if part of the reason he never was pushed higher in TNA maybe had something to do with a possible attitude. Hmmm interesting, I've not heard anything and I'd be wary of trusting those 2 potheads about anything, but it could explain some things as he does seem to have a bit of a chip on his shoulder at times.

Should we be shocked really?

Oh I doubt he sweats him, since he seems like the kind of guy to run his mouth to anyone, just I wouldn't want to be in Angle's presence if he legitimately tried to fight me. Angle's had MMA training as well, but he's an Olympic wrestler. Unless you're a full time and high level MMA fighter, you're not beating those guys, especially one that trained under Dave Schultz. Schultz was a catch wrestler and I'm sure he taught a number of submissions to anyone he's trained. Most high level wrestlers, especially older ones, know several ways to submit guys. As an avid MMA follower, high level BJJ black belts get beat by high level wrestlers with little BJJ training all the time because they are aware of submissions and grappling enough that they have less to worry about. Punk is a white belt in BJJ.

Just for fun because I love this move so much. An example of an old wrestling move that Rogan did not recognized until after the fact when Josh Barnett called it on his twitter. Everyone just thought it was a front headlock used with brute strengthby Matt Hughes. The Dave Schultz Lock. Wrestlers knew it immediately

But this is just idle talk amongst us and them. I'm sure nothing would ever happen between the two.

I think those two would have a hell of a match. Similar to HBK/Hart and Angle/Jarrett, real life heat always bring an extra element to a match and can make it that much better.

He certainly did not have great material under the Russo-era. It would have been interesting to see how he would have done under the current regime where the guys are no longer scripted.

Those trunks Morgan wears disturb me. They are smaller than the one Daniel Bryan wears and he's over a foot taller than him! Get some new tights!

Hmmm interesting, I've not heard anything and I'd be wary of trusting those 2 potheads about anything, but it could explain some things as he does seem to have a bit of a chip on his shoulder at times.

Like any shoot, you always have to take it for what it is, but I've heard enough interviews with those two that they seem like solid, albeit whacky, guys, well Kendrick at least. The Morgan story I could see simply due to the fact he comes across in interviews thinking he's better than he really is and he's one of Cornette's boys. Cornette is a huge A-hole.
