So will there be a battle royal or ladder match or something at Summerslam to crown the first new cruiserweight champion?

The Classic winner will get the title.

So the winner of the tournament will be signed to the main roster?

It's not official but it's a waste of time to do anything else when you already have this tournament.

And PWTorch is reporting that Adam Cole, Jay Lethal, The Young Bucks and ReDragon all have expiring contracts after Final Battle. I don't see any of them, except for maybe Adam Cole in NXT and even then NXT will have to make Cole "the guy" in NXT for him to jump ship.

If they bring in a bunch of these guys, they'll need a secondary title, which is why I thought bringing back the CW Championship would be a good idea for NXT.

I imagine the E has their eyes on Adam Cole especially and Lethal, too.

So will a few others. They are interested in Ibushi, Dar, ZSJ, Cedric Alexander, Gran Metalik, Akira Tozawa and Jack Gallagher. Ibushi and Metalik may have already signed. Plus to add Neville, Sin Cara and possibly Brian Kendrick and Tajiri.

I got no doubt that they would be interested in Lethal, but would he be interested in them?

If NXT signs all of these Indy talents, they cannot be going for only one title in NXT. They need a second title.

I hope Gran Metalik,Neville or Tajiri wins the tournament to get the title then

Neville is not in the tournament, but he's going to get a shot at the title on Raw.

That ain't happening in my opinion. It's Ibushi, Sabre Jr, or Alexander.

Probably will be Ibushi but that's not a bad choice though

I'm picking Sabre Jr., although he has to end his Indie commitments. I have heard Ibushi is signed to an NXT level deal.

And the NXT Women's Division got decimated. It's time for NXT to do something now with Liv Morgan, Aliyah, Peyton Royce, Mandy, Daria, Nikki Storm and Ember Moon. With all of the rumors about Roderick Strong, Tommy End, Kota Ibushi, Zack Sabre Jr. Cedric Alexander, Noam Dar, Kenny Omega, Adam Cole, Jay Lethal, The Young Bucks, Big Damo etc going to NXT, I am surprised that not any Indie females outside of the ones who appear at the NXT Tapings (Santana Garrett, Deonna Purazzo, Rachael Ellering) have been rumored for NXT.

FYI, Slater tweeted that he's the hottest free agent.

So they call up Nia Jax, Camilla, and Alexa Bliss, but not Bayley or Asuka, Really, really? Also what are the SD women going to be feuding over? Is the Women's title going to float between brands, or are they going to introduce a second women's belt to SD (TV title, tag team titles perhaps)? Or will they just be fighting over nothing ultimately?

Also no Nakamura or Joe either, rrriiiggghhhttt?

Probably a second women's title, although I don't know what it would be called.

Bayley likely debuts at Battleground.

Also, Corey Graves gets a promotion:

I don't think Joe comes up yet, at least not until NXT begins signing a bunch of Indy guys. Same for Nakamura.

Some Internet fans are convinced Helmsley created NXT to put the other promotions out of business.

Honestly I'd be fine with a second women's belt on SD (I'd probably go with the "TV Title" moniker myself), if SD would put in the time/effort to make it a big deal part of their brand. I'd be more confident in it being so there than on Raw.

I'm assuming they left out some of the "big" NXT call ups to save them for future surprises. It makes better sense to see Bayley go to Raw or Smackdown outside of the draft so they can make a big deal out of it. Ditto with Asuka.

...But then we see people like Mojo, Eva Marie, and Nia Jax get the call and I don't get excited at all.

So glad to hear Corey Graves is going to Raw. That's a big win. I only wish they'd have Tom replace Cole and it would be an NXT commentary trio.

Graves should be with Ranallo because Ranallo is phenomenal.

This is true, but both shows have a little bit of something awesome now. Much needed.

I disagree. I wanted the suck limited to one show and now one has apathetic Cole and the other has the guy Vince uses as his personal mouthpiece.

I feel like they made the SD side look rather stupid. Almost all the really over groups went to Raw. And the good, young talent almost all went to Raw, where they probably won't get much play. I don't get it.

I'm hoping they'll pick up their game with these changes. Graves will be the perfect heel, as long as Cole can play the straight man well.

It's going to be interesting to see how JBL meshes with Mauro.

Bit hard to judge yet, since I feel like there's probably still some changes and stars to come.

I quite like what Smackdown has (so far), but am waiting until we see the full and completed rosters for both since they still look a little thin.

That is fair. Considering I was hoping for Joe and Bayley (who I think will show up at Battleground as the secret partner), there is still some ways to go.

Some of the picks were so bad though. :funny:
