^ah, good!

and did I read correctly that they've tweaked the bumper buttons so that more of the surface is clickable?

Good god almighty! The new controller did, in fact, re-work the bumpers, and it has been said to be easier to use, and you can actually engage it throughout the entire button. It comes out on the 16th, and I'll be buying this on day one!

Oculus Rift To Launch With Xbox One Controller, Insomniac And More Developing Games. June 11, 2015 . 1:20pm

The Oculus Rift will launch in Q1 2016 and will come bundled with an Xbox One controller one of its official input devices.

The Oculus Rift will launch in Q1 2016 and will come bundled with an Xbox One controller one of its official input devices, Oculus announced today at a press conference.

The other input device will be the Oculus Touch, which is a pair of “half moon” wireless controllers that you hold in both hands. Each one includes an analog stick, two buttons, and a trigger. The controllers feature haptics allowing one to feel things they touch within the game, and the controllers can detect touch input as well.

The Oculus will feature an interface called the Oculus Home, which will allow users to buy and play games, as well as interact with other Oculus Rift owners.

At their conference, Oculus also revealed a number of games for the device, including Edge of Nowhere, a third-person survival action game by Insomniac. In this game, one travels to the Antarctic mountains in search of a missing expedition team.

Other games announced at the conference included AirMech VR, EVE: Valkyrie, and more. Oculus also said that the company would contribute over $10 million toward independent games developed for the Rift.

Oculus have not yet announced a price for the Rift.

Oculus Rift Can Stream Xbox One Games Using A PC. June 11, 2015 . 1:26pm

Every unit of the Oculus Rift will come bundled with an Xbox One controller, but Oculus’ partnership with Microsoft doesn’t stop there.
[YT]nTDnVQgICl4[/YT] Every unit of the Oculus Rift will come bundled with an Xbox One controller, but Oculus’ partnership with Microsoft doesn’t stop there. The two companies also announced today that one will be able to stream Xbox One games to the Rift.

Since the Oculus Rift offers native support for Windows 10, it makes it easy to offer functionality between the Xbox One and the Rift, Microsoft said. In order to stream games from Xbox One to the Rift, users will require a PC.

While it might be surprising that Oculus and Microsoft would partner up this way, it actually makes sense. Back in 2007, Microsoft acquired an equity stake in Facebook—which owns Oculus—worth $240 million.

Lol, the video of someone playing Forza on the Oculus shows how hilariously stupid it is, right now. You're basically in a virtual room, playing a regular 2D version of the game. :funny:

Bumpers were fine and I think the issues were, much like with everything in the gaming community, greatly exaggerated... But I'll probably pick one of these up anyway.

Heh, I don't think a redesign happened because of "nonexistent exaggerations".

so nothing is every changed by people going online and pointlessly *****ing? Really?

Really?

You're constantly one of those individuals who thinks if it doesn't affect you as much, then it's "pointless". Ignorance must be bliss.

I don't have a problem with the bumpers either but if they managed to make the controller even better then that's awesome. I'll buy one when I want a 2nd controller

Some specific games mentioned for Gamescom.

E3 is just the beginning. Over the next few weeks and months, we’ll be sharing many more of our plans for 2015 and beyond. Having a jam-packed lineup of games to show at E3 means that there simply isn’t enough time to give each of our upcoming titles its well-deserved time in the spotlight. We’ve decided to save some of our most eagerly-awaited future titles for gamescom in August. Rest assured that titles like Crackdown, Quantum Break and Scalebound will be front and center at gamescom along with new game reveals for both Xbox One and Windows 10.

Well, I guess there's that Fable game. And Rare is supposed to show something off. Still pretty surprising to save those for later.

There's also Forza, Halo, Gears and Tomb Raider, so MS has a decent list of things we know for sure are going to be there (and I'm sure some surprises), but yeah, those three being cut kind of sucks. Not much into Crackdown, but I'm interested in Quantum Break, and I'm craving Scalebound info.

Are they not going to show those titles at all? They should at least do a quick tease as many people only watch E3.

LOL. What in the blue hell is that? I mean, what is the point? I have to be missing something.

Yeah, I don't understand the point at all. And I loved how nobody clapped at the end, and it looked like he was expecting it. :funny:

Apparently Titanfall has been added to that EA Access thing. It's not up in the EA hub yet, but if you search for it through the Xbox One search function, you'll see the option is there.

If I didn't know any better I'd think this was a prank. But it's June.

Really hoping they don't start their show today until after 1 EST. Stupid working 4 am till 1 pm...

Going on media blackout for te MS event.. Won't be home until 1 so I'll miss at least half of it. I leave ya'll with some kind words from Phil.

@XboxP3: Just before everything gets crazy I wanted to send out a note that this day is about you, the Xbox community. Thanks for everything. #xboxe3
