LIST OF AMC THEATRES OFFERING THE MARATHON:
Thanks for the info, guys! I really appreciate it.
I am going to check with my friends and see who will be able to drive me to the Tarentum theater, as I have no inclination to step into the rougher part of town.
Edit: I just preordered the Art Book of the film (I finally have some cash for it.)

LIST OF AMC THEATRES OFFERING THE MARATHON:
The more they show of Malekith, the more incredible he looks. No wonder they have been keeping him under wraps. Same with Kurse. Kinda reminds me of how we saw little of Zod and Faora before the tv spots started hitting.

I agree, Nam-Ek and Faora were well hidden in the trailers, especially the first three. I'm actually surprised we haven't even seen glimpses of Kurse vs Thor in any of the tv spots.
I hope we are entering a new phase of movie advertising where less is more. TDKT, MOS, AVENGERS, they all had great trailers and ad campains that did'nt spoil those films big visual or dramatic moments. TDW campaign has been following the same path.

The only thing the Avengers trailer spoiled was Hulk catching IM. Other than that, they did a great job leaving the good parts out of the trailers e.g Hulk vs Thor, IM vs Thor, Loki being smashed by Hulk, the tracking shot etc...
Well I’m just glad that a Thor film is seemingly getting the right high level production value in order to compensate for the large scale that his world encompasses.
I can’t begin to tell you on how I, along with many others, were a bit irritated on how “small scale” the first Thor film after Thor was banished from Asgard, going from the Small Town Setting to even the quality of the battles of the Frost Giant Planet Fight scene.
This film definitely seems to be taking full advantage of Thor’s powers, more so than any other Marvel film that has featured him in it.
They spoiled the group shot, Iron Man's "death", Loki's arrival, the group fight, Iron Man in the Mark VII (I love the entire sequence so much), they showed shots of Thor vs. Iron Man, Cap's block, Widow's "plan B" for Banner, and a ton of shots from the battle of New York.
And then there were the TV spots, including "Hulk Smash" and Tony putting on his armor while he falls.
we figgured it was just two at a time but the last two that SHOULD be posters and aren't Hogun and Kurse.
With Thor 1, the only one of warriors three was Hogun so it's reversed this time around it seems

I'm talking about trailers here not tv spots. The group shot was the money shot each movie trailer needs. MOS had one, IM3 had one. They showed little glimpses of the Tor vs IM fight, we saw nothing of the Hulk vs Thor fight. The trailers did a solid job of not spoiling anything imo.
So you were not wowed by the stuff they decided to leave out of the trailers when you saw the movie? Even this?

Regardless of all this, The Avengers was filled with so many money shots and EPIC moments. Joss Whedon truly deserves praise here. One of the greatest CBM ever made imo.

Do you really think any movie puts every last "moment" in the trailer?
If the trailer didn't spoil anything, then would not reveal plot. The Avengers trailers clearly do. Present Loki as the villain, Widow picking up Hulk, Hulk fighting on both sides, the portal, the tension in the group, that Thor and Iron Man fight.

Everyone knew Loki would be the villain. I don't know how that's a spoiler. Hulk fighting on both sides? Widow going to get Dr Banner? that's a spoiler? I dunno man how you even consider these things to be spoilers. The only part they really spoiled for me anyways, was Hulk catching Iron man.
