Since the days of Lee and Kirby, yes. My question is whether she's done much since Walter Simonson.

Would love to see Lorelei/Elena Satine in this movie. Get rid of Darcy and her assistant and have Lorelei instead please Marvel. Elena is such an underrated actress.

I would love to see her appear, even if it's a small role. It would be the first thing from the TV show in the movies. Her role doesn't have to be big and it wouldn't necessarily be confusing for those unfamiliar with Agents of SHIELD. I doubt she would fill the role of Darcy.

Even a cameo would do, just as a little nod

One thing I liked in the Hulk VS movie was that the gods were all quite a bit bigger than normal humans. Loki towered over Bruce. I had hoped the films would have done something like that, and its too late now, but I just saw the trailer for the Gods of Egypt movie and it looks like they portrayed the gods this way

Here and there (I remember her from Straczynski's run) but even so her and Balder's story from Simonson's run is pretty iconic in Thor lore so it doesn't matter if she's not utilized heavily at the moment. I personally think it would be awesome to see her appear in these films.

Hey, I'd like to see her too (see my thread about a Warriors Three One-Shot), I just said I think it's less likely. Would you consider her a villain during Simonson's run, btw?

That's a good question - in Simonson's story no I probably wouldn't - but it's her previous villainy which makes that story so interesting so you have to establish that context somehow. Actually the more I think about it Simonson also did something similar with Skurge showing redemptive aspects to his character during his sacrifice at the bridge of Gjallerbru.

So many great stories in that run that they could mine for the films but there are many many characters to introduce yet. I really hope this isn't the end of the line for Thor - there is so much untapped potential in his mythos for the MCU.

Yeah, and that's part of why I think it's problematic for the movie universe. Her most interesting moments are as a past villain. It's hard to do that without first making her a villain. Given Marvel's tendency to kill their villains, that makes it twice as difficult.

I'd love to have her, but those are part of the reasons I'm somewhat skeptical they will.

Yes, a cameo, anything! Just have Lorelei/Elena in Ragnarok. Underrated-versatile actress and she's more stunning than Darcy, Jane, Loki, Selvig, Thor, and the rest of the male characters!

Fun fact, she auditioned for Black Widow and she speaks Russian. Imagine a Black Widow that can speak fluent Russian flawlessly.

seems like opinions have changed. She used to be a favourite for playing MJ in Spider-man, but the common complaint was that she couldn't act. Has she improved?

Not familiar with her other work but I really enjoyed her appearance in Agents of SHIELD. I thought she was great as Lorelei. Would love to see her return to the MCU. Acting aside, I think she's absolutely gorgeous.

There are rumors Brunhilde is gonna be in this, right?

yeah, motherf***er's still jacked
he's just standing in that weird Christian Bale 'machinist' pose, and the makeup adds to the emaciated look
I'd love to be in that shape lol

wow Hemsworth got pretty grimy for the heart of the sea film. the article is about how skinny he got for it, but he actually still looks pretty muscular in the photo, it just appears to me it was shot to make his head look bigger than the rest of his body; well at least dem tri's are still showing anyway

Yeah he is still fairly big looking to me, its just pretty poor lighting.

I don't recall seeing anything of Carnilla since the Asgardians returned in JMS' run

Karnilla is lower on the THOR character totem pole compared to others but, in terms of Lee/Kirby creations in the mythos she's got a shot at being brought into the MCU just on the dearth of female characters in general.

Yeah, but there were certain Characters Thor was trying NOT to bring back after Raganrok and the ending of the Ragnarok Cycle, one being Odin.
I guess we'll have to wait and see what they actually do as a Ragnarok Cycle in the MCU

Has Hemsworth read the script? I just read an article in which he discusses the hulk and Thor fight. He says he'd like to think Thor let him win but this time Thor should win. He also said he would explorer the idea of Thor really expanding himself physically.

Which sort of supports the whole "Thor always holds back" thing
