Hold the phone!

Haha honestly I'd just love a Ragnarok final battle. Yeah, it's repetitive, but it works.

Hulk, Thor, Loki, Odin, Warriors 3, Valkerie, and ALL of Asgard against a giant Surtur, Hela, Fenris, a bunch of midguard serpents and trolls and monsters. Just make it a giant battle royal

I wonder why though, it can't be that hard Sony, Fox, and Warner Brothers (DC) have no problem doing it.

Feats and power levels are something I don't think anyone behind the scenes at Marvel care about all that much. I still remember somebody last year repeatedly insisting to me that Spider-Man would defeat Captain America because it was statistically impossible for Cap to overpower him. LOL.

I think it's more apt to say they understand the mediums are different and for the purpose of the story having Cap lose in three seconds would not have been great entertainment.

That's interesting, I didn't know that. I imagine Hemsworth will definitely do the full press tour this time as he seems a lot more on board with this version of Thor and clearly gets on extremely well with Waititi. He seems super pumped about Ragnarok which is nice to see.
Yeh Chris Hemsworth is totally going to go on the "promoting tour" for this. He is so pumped and excited to show everyone the movie. It's going to be sweet seeing Taika and his epic cast promoting Ragnarok. Cate Blanchett will be a massive draw in that department. A 2 times Oscar winning actress and one of the best in the world playing a epic female villain.

Oh I don't disagree at all. It's why I've never found power level debates terribly interesting.

That was one of my favourite parts of the Comic-Con panel, Mark giving Cate a standing ovation. :funny: He's such a fanboy. :woot:

It might mean something if people used feats from the films rather than the comics.

Midgard Serpent in Ragnarok would be awesome, I'm not holding out hope for it though.

One interesting thing i noticed with the Ragnarok marketing and the spotlight being very much on Taika Waititi as it's director is the growth of his Twitter following. Around April and the release of the first Teaser Trailer he had around 135.000 followers and now after more and more people getting to know him and his style, is following is 181.000 and growing every single day.

Hopefully more people get to know his work and explore his previous films. He is a break out and very talented director and will most likely be very sought after for other projects after this movie comes out.

About Stan Lee's cameo in the movie.
...“They did it their way, and it was okay,” Anderson said, nodding to the first take of Lee’s cameo.

“Then they said, ‘Stan, what would you do?’ He did improv, and he nailed it. Everybody loved that scene,” the manager explained. “They were like, ‘This is going to be awesome.’ And all I can say is that he plays a big part in someone’s scene. It was so funny, man. I’m telling you.”

Anderson isn’t the only person who has praised Lee’s cameo in the Thor sequel. Chris Hemsworth and director Taika Waititi have corroborated the claims as well. The pair sent a video message to Lee last month for his imprint ceremony at Hollywood’s TCL Chinese Theater. Each wished Lee well on the special occasion, and they plugged the writer’s comedic acting.

"We're here shooting [Ragnarok]," Hemsworth said. "In which you did a cameo today, which is your best one yet, I think."

Waititi also chimed in, saying, " met you the other day. You came in and... your cameo is one of the funniest things in the film."...

I enjoy a good who can beat who debate as much as the next comic book fan. However, I do realize that that is an aquired taste and subject matter. I also think that a comic book character in film needs visible threats. If your character can move a planet, then he needs a counter balance, a few friends but even more enemies who are just as powerful. I think that's the problem Superman films are having. He needs to bleed at full power. The average audience will not feel for a character that they don't feel is ever in real mortal danger. Batman vs Superman tried to fix it.

Is thor the only asgardian with special abilities??.
Not at all. Odin, Heimdall... have also "special abilities". A lot of the other important asgardians are very skilled fighters and some of them even wield some important and powerful weapons such as Valkyrie with Dragonfang, Skurge with the bloodaxe...

Right. Odin's power is his own magic plus the combined power of his brothers being amplified..Odinforce.

Thor is so powerful because his mother is an Elder god.

More powerful than Odin.

Of course, you know this though. Saving your fingers some typing ;)

Odin have the same powers like his father bor. Ryt?

Important update on Thor: Ragnarok:

The World Premiere of Thor: Ragnarok in one month from now: http://www.averagesocialite.com/2016/07/thor-ragnarok-premiere-la.html?m=1. This is MAJOR evidence that Disney is confident enough in the film that it will make $1 billion worldwide, especially with tickets still available now for pre-order.

This is the second earliest Marvel Studios world premiere, just underneath Captain America: Civil War by a day.

I hope the movie has great quotable lines.

Only from the trailers and spots I know Hela's "Oh how I've missed this." is one for me.

My favorite line is "I lost my hammer, like yesterday...so that's still pretty fresh". Hemsworth delivers the line perfectly. I hope they don't change it in the movie as Marvel is known to do.

I was iffy on that. Maybe he was light hearted about it, but I'd imagine he'd be devastated

Survived hurricane Irma! Woohoo! Gonna buy my tickets! Stay away Jose! Lol
